*emmanuel is very vulnerable to the str8 right hand and doesn't know how to take it away

*emmanuel has never shown any real ability to make adjustments and adapt. If you watch Floyd fight his eyes are always glued to his opponents taking in every detail, so he can plan his next move. Right after Mosley clocked him with that nice right hand, he was already paying attention to the big screen replay in between rounds to fix his mistake

*emmanuel's style with his awkward balance and being easy to hit is tailor made for a counter puncher with perfect timing

Anyways, I think Floyd will measure him with the jab at first. Then he'll begin his bodywork on emmanuel looking specifically for the liver. Look for him to go inside the pocket and smother emmanuel. Floyd will box beautifully after that to stop emmanuel in the final round.

I would say because Pacquiao cant handle counter punchers, now its okay saying he has improved greatly since then, and im by no means a Mayweather fan because i say this, but he struggled with Marquez in 08, had problems with Cotto, who is not a particularly great counter puncher, if you go right back to his loss with Morales that was achieved by being countered on the way in, now Morales is not a particularly good counter puncher either, although it is fair to say Pac has improved since that particular fight.

Mayweather is a terrific counter puncher with excellent ring generalship and a reach advantage, he can beat Pacquiao by backing him up or by using his legs and making him chase him, Pac can only really win one way imo, which is to try and put it on Mayweather and KO him.

I think the first round or two they'll feel each other out, won't be anything exciting. Then in about round 3-5 Pacquiao will start throwing load's of shot's, mainly hitting Floyd's arms/shouler with the odd one or two landing, the crowd will go wild as will the commentator's, making out as if Floyd is in survival mode when anybody with half a boxing brain will know that's not the case. Around rounds 6-8 Floyd will start to get the measure of Pacquiao, and start picking him off from a distance, pot shotting Pacquiao with straight right's and going for Pacquiao's body occassionally. Round 9-10 i think Floyd will land a shot or two and hurt Pacquiao, sensing this will go for the KO and get it in round 11 (i know Floyd does'nt normally go on the attack since moving up from 135, but if he's going to get in the ring with Pacquiao he's going to want to stop him, he seem's offended by this whole thing, even more than he was with Hatton)

As somebody said earlier, nothing is set in stone, and anything can change in a second in boxing, but this is how i see the fight panning out, agree or not, it's my opinion

The only way i see Pac winning is KO or TKO.....and that is certainly not out the question for me...Pac has the speed power and skill to connect with just one punch and thats all he needs.

If it turns into a boxing match he will get outclassed every which way!

i am completely neutral for this fight. i'm 33 and these 2 are 2 of the best boxers i've seen in my lifetime.

like many others though, i can see mayweather winning this fight. i could be wrong, and indeed i doubted whether manny would win before the oscar, hatton, and cotto fights. its fair to say that i have under-estimated how great manny is in the past, he's shocked me by how well he has been able to move up weights and completely dominate fighters who i expected to be physically stronger than manny.

for this fight, i just get the feeling that mayweather is all wrong for manny. manny is a great volume puncher but the way he leaves himself open when throwing these combinations is absoloutly perfect for the way floyd pot-shots with accurate counters to break up mannys rhythm. i also think floyd has really grown into the weight really well and has severly underestimated power, particularly shown v mosley, hatton, and marquez.

mayweather is a defensive genius, and i just see him being able to impose his style on manny more than manny will be able to impose his style on floyd.the more manny can't get to him, the more i think he will be leaving himself open to counters that will eventually wear manny down after 9 or 10 rounds, with mayweather going on to win a 8-4 UD.

my fear for this fight is that it could turn into a calzaghe v hopkins type of match where both fighters looked bad and were a bad match-up stylistically for each other. maybe floyd won't quite be able to deal with the volume of mannys punches but won't get hit by many clean shots, maybe floyd will be able to break mannys rythym up with accurate counters but ultimately may not be throwing enough punches to discourage manny?

lots of ifs and buts, but if i had to bet my house on this fight, i would back that floyd will be the one who adapts better in the fight and makes enough adjustments style-wise to come out on top. i just hope it ends up a great fight, deserving of 2 great boxers, i don't care who wins it, i just want to watch it.

I have money on Mayweather by decision.

the only thing that doubts me is can Mayweather take Pacquiao's bombs and can he handle his work rate.

Mayweather is the master at dictating fights, I just think there might be slight question mark for Mayweather to defend and attack at a high rate of knots that Pacquiao is bound to set.

This is true. And this is also why this fight is one of the most intriguing matchups to come up in quite some time. Floyd still wins by KO too btw.

I think mayweather's footwork will save the day for him. I am pretty certain on this. I will also have money down for mayweather victory as well.

Pac will be one of his toughest fights, but the only fighters that gave Floyd much trouble were his height or taller, his reach or longer.

i think manny will have to go for broke to beat mayweather.i think mayweather is the smarter fighter.i think he is the more seasoned vet between the two.i think mayweather punches will hurt manny more then manny thinks it will.i think the south paw thing is blowed way out of porportion.a few south paws were able to land a few shots, a few shots will not win the fight.i dont see mayweather taking alot of shots from manny.i see manny geting picked a part.he has to come out out mayweather with is what mayweather wants you to do.he want be able to box and use feints against mayweather to keep him thinking.i just think he gone go straight at mayweather and get ****ed up.

For the same reasons people thought Roy Jones and Mike Tyson were unbeatable when they had an 0 on their record. Both them and Mayweather made a career beating up nobodies and has beens. Mayweather has only been truly test once against Castillo and he got off with a gift. All credit to him for rematching Castillo but since than his career has been much more well calculated and risk-limited. He claims he's greatest that ever lived and his reasons for not fighting Margarito, Williams, Cotto ect are that they didn't represent high enough paydays. Fair enough but that logic falls apart when he instead fought guys like Mitchell and Baldomir who made him even less money.

Than when the fight was close to being made his people made baseless claims that Pacquiao is a cheater, something that they still have yet to present a single shread of evidence for. Now Pacquiao has agreed to all the demands that Mayweather orginially asked for and Mayweather has raised the bar yet again with the 60/40 split, something he orginially did not ask for. Than he has the nerve to believe Pacquiao's fight with Clottey should have sold as well as his fight with a big name like Shane Mosley. All while totally disregarding the fact Mayweather/Hatton sold an equal amount as Pacquiao/Hatton (850,000).

Bottomline: Floyd is a coward and has thus far done everything possible to make this fight not happen.

I personally am so sure Mayweather beats Pacquiao because boxers beat brawlers.Masterclass boxers vs great brawlers has played out again and again. The brawlers have won some but the boxers won the vast vast majority of these fights. The outcome of this fight is already predetermined.

    Pacquiao doesn't make 40 million either way.Arum 27%,Golden Boy 14%,41% gone before taxes.Uncle Sam takes 50%.

40 million minus 40% to promoters leaves him with 24 million.Uncle Sam's 50% tax leaves him with 12 million.

Pacq never has and never will make 40 million.Even in a Pacq/Mayweather fight.

41% to promoters shows you his intelligence.
