he has the experience and know how to call every fighter he faces problems. pavlik would be no exception. pavlik way to beat him , is hit often and hard everything on offer while staying at a distance, as wright no longer has any feet at all.
go to btalk and look at what Winky just said and look at what Arum said. Winky said Kelly can have the lionshare and Arum wants no part of it.
If the fight was made Pavlik's work rate would get him a UD in my opinion.....Winky isn't the fighter he was 3-5 years ago....but who is?
Based on what? Winky goes way above his weight for the Hopkins fight and has a bad showing and now he's all of a sudden a nobody? The Winky we saw against Hopkins is not the real Winky. And even despite this, Winky brought the fight to the considerably bigger Hopkins. He was just out of his elements. Hopkins came in with a great game plan and took away Wink's best weapon which is the jab. At 160, Winky is a pretty big dude. He took JT's best shots. And he will be quicker and have more stamina at 160. I still think Winky's defense and jab gives him a UD. Pavlik was somewhat exposed when JT actually boxed well.
Who the hell is Winky Wright to offer the middleweight champ the lion's share. Wright has no pull, no following, he brings no money to the table. Let's see if he's willing to take the chump change Kelly took to fight Taylor the first time.
Thats sounds more like whishfull thinking than an actuall realistic fight scenario. Winky is 36 years old, he doesnt have the speed that he did when he was a Jr.Middlewight. So its not like he has any boxing edge over Pavlik, his a hitable target. But that aspect of th game doesnt even really play that important of a role, what does play a big role is Pavliks ability to punch and Winkys inability to do anyhing that would deter Pavlik from unloading his arsenal. Pavlik will split Winkys guard all night and land his straight right, Taylor did this as well, but Pavlik will do it better and stop Winky late.
