    :-(
:nono Thurman just doesn't have enough credentials to ever face Mayweather...Mayweather will be retired in 3 years, by then Thurman will more than likely still be the same...showing no signs of being ready :deal

Khan and Danny Garcia showed enough signs at 140 to earn their Mayweather payday :bbb

Thurman shows me nothing that tells me he is ready for Mayweather :think

Danny Garcia is ahead of him, coming from 140 where he showed enough signs that he is ready for Mayweather :deal

interesting :think whenever people say Floyd cherrypicked Maidana, they always seem to bring Thurman's name up as one of the better alternatives

I guess Floyd can never win

    Nothing, as things stand.

He's a talent though, and if he keeps progressing over his next few fights then he'll be in contention next year.

Those guys are haters...Maidana showed enough signs losing in a gallant effort vs Khan...that alone gets you way ahead of unproven Thurman

Danny Garcia also showed enough gallantry in the last fight...expect him in with Mayweather... Thurman at 22-0 (KO 22) shows not a single sign that he is ready for Mayweather :nono

Thurman falls in the same category as those promising talent who can never beat Mayweather... no shame in that even welter SRR will never have a chance vs Mayweather...You can't hit what you don't see :deal

He might not deserve it, but I'd still like to see it.

"What Makes Thurman Deserving Of A Mayweather Fight?"

Answer: His resume makes him more deserving than many, but his resume also makes him less deserving than several others.

while Thurman has speed and power, he also leaves himself open too much and from time to time throws those wild looping shots, Floyd might have trouble with his speed, but I think he would pick him apart as the fight goes to the later rounds

    Top 5 WW (shrugs)

In the end the same as almost every B-side; promotional ties and ability to generate interest (of which Guerrero did not bring the latter to the table in a similar way that Thurman would not).

    ----

If Floyd fought Thurman, all everyone would do is say he beat a young buck who hadn't fought anybody. And if he went on to be unsuccessful after the fight, it would look like a much less relevant fight than Victor Ortiz to the tablets of history.

Guerrero was never a top WW .

His win over Berto doesn't mean anything .

Berto himself has never beaten a Top WW to solidify himself as one of the top WW
