    Let's just clarify things here...

Hatton couldnt even PPV a fight with Castillo.. whereas Floyd had a fight with Baldomir on PPV. That's enough right there. But lemme continue..

Then there's all the dumb people saying Hatton will draw more fans to the fight(casino/stadium) than mayweather. Well, if Floyd could pretty much fill the room when fighting Baldo, it's not like he couldnt do it against anyone else in the US... and casinos bring huge money, so whether it's in a 13K casino or a 50K UK stadium, the revenue will be similar.

The worse argument is the fan base, people say Floyd does not draw because he does not have a fan base.. wrong, most people who will buy the fight in the USA will either root for Floyd or just buy it to see him lose and get KTFO.. either way, the draw is Floyd, whether you want him to win or lose. But not many american fans will buy it for Ricky Hatton.

So basically, the gate revenue would pretty much be the same in the US and UK due to the casino money for the fight.

And US fans, which are way more than UK fans will buy it to see FLOYD, not Hatton. People won't tune in to see Hatton win, they will to see Mayweather lose.. or win for his fans. So most of the PPV revenue will come from Floyd.

    Nuf said.

Nice job, but get some reading skills.

It does not matter whether or not Hatton can brign fans overseas since Floyd can pretty much sell out the casino by himself... and the money from a 13K casino is similar to a 50K stadium, due to what the casino pays.

If the best Floyd can do is 2million ppv buys when he is fighting the best known fighter in the sport then he ain't drawing flys to **** (quite literally), if Hattons fights were marketed anywhere near as much as Floyds are and kept on normal ppv he would be able to **** all over those figures, Eubank-Benn drew 15million viewers in a country of 60million people.

That ppv was forced by HBO simply because PBF's previous 2/3 fights had been PPV and PBF demanded it. Plus they could promote that whole "linear championship" thing. Doesnt matter it did shitty numbers anyways.

Are you really deluded enough to believe that?

And BTW PBF did NOT sell out when he fought Baldo. You got to be kidding.

This is based solely on your illogical calculations, not actually rooted in any factual evidence.

If THAT were the case, then they'd be selling out a 50k stadium for this fight in the US. Regardless of the location the fight would be still be PPV in the US, so hopefully you're not dumb enough to start arguing with me that more US fans would buy the PPV if the fight were in the US vs if it were in the UK.

And neither was it a fight between a British fighter and the best in the sport, it would at least get 1-2million buys in the UK if marketed properly

Then why is his biggest payday only 2,5M? Either he's ****ing dumb and getting screwed or he can't draw as much as you claim.

Floyd did 8M agaisnt baldomir.. jsut a reminder.

you're now going in the "ifs" department,

IF let's say Floyd was a giant mongoose and Hatton was like a snake, a cobra and jesus came down on earth to bless that fight.. WTF? Ifs are not worth my time.

Use facts, or shut up. You can't compare PPV with FREE numbers... and don't go making up UK PPV numbers when you have no idea.

As a qualified Barrister had I become a judge and had to adjudicate on this as a case then I would merely as follows:

"Further to brillant exposition provided by my learned brother Hahahax I see no need for further elaboration other than to say I agree for the reasons provided in summation."

Oh and one more thing.. I'm not saying the fight NEEDS to be in the USA.. I'm saying Floyd should have the bigger share.

As I said, casino and huge stadiums are both great. But Floyd beats Hatton on the PPV buys and he is the P4P #1.

When you have some of the biggest sports celebrities walking out of your fights before the final bell rings you know damn well you arent that big of a draw. (ie. Charles Barkley and Tiger Woods)

Hattons fans are far too drunk to know what is happening but they still watch, Floyd can't even keep a sober crowd awake and they don't have to worry about alcohol poisoning.

And they also stayed till the final bell many times.

Barkley at the Corrales bout for example.
