People forget Manny had two close tough fights with JMM,

Some say JMM won, some say Manny won....

What makes you think Manny will do a lot better?

    Styles.

Plus, the fact that Manny has established himself as a legit welter.

JMM had NO business fighting above 135.

Pacquiao would stop the current version of JMM in a few rounds, he simply got better as he went up, whereas Marquez got worse.

The most obvious reason is that Manny is a physical force at 140+ pounds, unlike Juan. The second answer is styles, Manny is fast, accurate, has good timing and is very fluid with his combination punching. He also has shown to have quality punch resistance at the weight. But most importantly he is very active and has a good work rate.

Marquez is static and although highly skilled, predictable and somewhat robotic. Mayweather lives for this stuff.

The same can be said with DLH, he beat Mayweather and Pacman nearly put him into a coma, lucky his trainer stoped the fight

because he got better. jeez. would you think the version of pac that fought jmm at 130 beat cotto that way? isn't it obvious that pacquiao has changed since fighting jmm?

    Are you serious?

What do you think would have happened if Cotto had fought Marquez?

Yet again you prove to be a dimwit. PBF clearly beat DLH. The SD was a disgrace, should have been UD. Just because DLH threw more punches, does not mean he won . Stick to mma, you would be a better fan.

I hope Divac would not read this thread.

I remember him stating that Pac would do much worse than JMM against Mayweather after the JMM-Mayweather fight.

If Pacquiao fought Marquez again, it would literally be Pac vs. Morales III.

You can't be serious...Uh, Manny is still lightning fast at welterweight and Marquez was slowish at 135 for crying out loud. Manny is in a different league of speed, power and athleticism. And he's the linear light welterweight champion, the WBO welterweight champion and JMM had just fought twice at lightweight and no higher when they signed to fight at 144. Why do we think Manny might do a lot better? Why the hell would you think he wouldn't?

De la Hoya was seriously weight drained, with Manny. He had no business getting into that ring...
