Well regardless of what happened in the first bout cotto proved he could make the proper adjustments and do what he should have done and stay in the pocket make margos attacks less impactful and basically show his superior boxing ability. Every fight develops a personality and cotto was able to tweak his in the rematch while Margo just implemented the same blue print he uses in every fight. This subject is old man and I don't know why people continue to apologize for cotto when he needs no apologists, cotto exacted revenge by maintaining a disciplined attack and is currently in a great position. 99% of the boxing world thinks Margarito cheated in the Cotto fight and believe his entire career is tainted. Only the most loyal of fans would believe otherwise.

The fact he was ever able to box again after the Mosley fight is a black eye to boxing and all commissions. The fact that Arum allowed him in a big money fight with Pac Man is criminal and it hurt Manny's legacy. Manny never should have allowed that cheater in the ring with him.

I guess the only good thing that came of it is that Margacheato got his face annihilated and basically retired.
