I've always wanted to pick up the sport but I was told its rather late for me to start...I'm 25 now and I at least wanted to see what its like...I've fought in a toughman tournament in Mississippi before but thats about it for me...I didnt quite win the finals..I thought it was going to be a walk in the park but man was I wrong...I had to learn the hard way about the importance of road work!:yep

So you have been in the ring. Fine tune yourself if you can find a boxing gym and some good trainers. Even if you decide not to get into the amatuers or Pros, it is so much fun and a challenge to get in the ring. I met a toughman combatant in the police academy back in 1991 and he was tough, but did not have the discipline to box. We worked out together in the weekends and he caught on fast. I never kept in contact with him due to him living in Washington State, but he said he wanted to go back to the toughman contest due to losing in the championship which was on tv when we were in the academy. Cameron is his name if you heard of him. He got KO by a elbow in the championship. That **** was funny. Add and sharpen what you already know. I am thinking about getting into kickboxing and maybe just maybe MMA.

Road work. Yea, I remember those guys who did well until they gassed out. No disrespect, but I loved when I was put in the ring with a anti road work fighter. I was fast, moved more than fighters cared for, power in both hands, and could cover up real well. Imagine, the anti road work fighter hitting you with all he has and his battery dies. I actually smiled and then went to work. Also, watch pros from the past and present and also amatuers in the gym to pick up moves. I know this is strange combonation, but I use to imulate Camacho and Donald Curry.

Really doubt his return will be one fight only, I'm sure if he returns then he will for more than one fight since there are many good fights he can make right now and most of them will make great money.

About Margarito, some people just make it sound like all Margarito needs to do is throw and land one punch, Margarito's power is extremely overrated. He's not a one punch KO artist and never was, if he wants a stoppage he needs to land and land a lot. With Mayweather's constant movement and defense this will be very hard to score a single round let alone a KO.

A have a little of experience, LOL. Its kinda hard for me to find a good boxing gym here in Memphis...We have a good program for free sponsered by the Memphis Police Department but my work shcedule doesnt compliment the hours of the gym, so I'm stuck in a rock and hard place....I guess I need to sit down and talk to one of the trainers to see if they could work with me after hours...Its something that I really interested in...I know its going to keep my mind focused and help me make the right choices.

Agree, I just hope I am wrong about the Pac fight. I mean, it is not out of the question. I beat the P4P king that everybody crowned and I will be considered the best even though I was retired for so long. I hope not, I would like to see him come back for at least four to five fights. I would not be surprised if he came back at 140. Isn't it rumored that he is sparring? We will wait and see.

I want him to fight Pac, the winner of Shane\Cotto rematch. Just as long as he gives me 2 or 3 more fights I'll be satisfied.:yep

Don't waste time with rumors, people come up with so much **** it's unbelievable, we have heard stories about "sparring in the gym" since Margarito/Cotto and they keep flying. I'll just wait for an official statement or a video interview to be sure.

If he comes back and immediately fights Pac then I'll be honest and pick Pacquiao to win and if they do fight it will be at 147, don't think Floyd will take any fight below that based on age and inactivity. He needs at least one tune-up before fighting Pacquiao, even after a tune-up I'll call it a 50/50 with Pac.

Like you, I just hope it's serious activity.

At least your thinking positive and came up with a plan. I hope it works out for you and someone works with you. Training helps you in everyday life. Oh, road work also helps with concentrating and working out everyday stress. I know it is not easy, but actually you really need to hit the bricks for 3 miles six times a week. You don't have to go overboard with the running. It is conditioning and you will be working on that just hitting the bag, pads, jump rope, shadow boxing, etc.
