What modern robberies have Don King not been involved in?

King can take some of the responsability for that.

He did everything he could to cheat Douglas out of what was owed to him, by foul means. Even after he was forced to relent, he was openly verry disrespectful towards Douglas, who was the unified champion at the time.

Eventualy Douglas just told him where to get to.

I can think of 2. And they are not out and out robberies but these guys deserved the nod probably moreso than some of the other King benefactors in big fights.

    1. Tua/Rahman 2. King had the paper on Rahman. When was the last time a close verdict did not go the way of the DKP fighter? They always came out on top. My answer goes back to decades==and not modern really.

    2. Young over Foreman. Could have been a draw and King's guy stay's in the sport. Or, what we saw every time afterwards for a ton of years, George wins a crappy decision.

That's an interesting angle I hadn't really considered, you are spot on about the timing of it. I cringed the moment I heard that Fenech had King sticking his nose in a long time before that fight and we should have twigged. Fenech won that fight fair and square, but that all turned about in fight two,... we have no complaints about that,,.. but gee it hurt.

Nelson-Fenech took place in 91 on the undercard of Ruddock-Tyson 2.
So he was still on the loose back then.
    But I see your point.
