What month or year did the WBO receive true world recognition?

    The WBO is defianetly a major title now because pacquiao held it for a long time and he was recognised at the welterweight champion of the world

    WBO is a major title. And actually the WBO might replace WBC soon espcially since the WBC wont allow unifications anymore.

    Naseem Hamed always said that wbo was his favorite belt to hold!! so many good fighter hold and defend that belt with pride
