they seem about right for his level of experience to me? next step the top end of the british scale then to euro level for about four of five fights sounds about right to me. who exactly would you have him fighting at this stage? for the OP the question is, was and always will be his chin. realistically he should be taking more of a wlad style safety first approach as his opponents improve. if he doesnt do this its hard to see how he mixes at the very top level, even not knowing exactly who his opponents will be when hes there.
agree with the entrance music awfull, i see on his twitter he said the fury fight isnt as unlikely to happen as people think
Confidence/Mongrel he's too polite and respectful, he doesnt need to be a rude loudmouth, but he's verging on shy.
How do you know? He looks a bit upright to me chin a bit in the air. He has the tools / size etc but he has yet to be tested, I want to see how he copes with someone who is going to come at him, get under that jab and cause him some problems, aswell as test his chin.
the way he carries himself. i believe he lacks confidence. he says things like "i need more time to fight the klitschkos, Im not ready yet, I don't even know how hard im hitting etc" Contrast that with someone like Froch/Degale/Naseem Hamed/Lewis etc All had the confidence that they were good enough to beat anyone. Price has more or less admitted he would lose to wlad or vitali if he fought them now.
Nah, that ain't true friend. When you see a fighter doing what he wants to do against weak opposition you quite often see the genesis of the problems that will unseat him at a later date, especially when he is getting away with them free of charge. It's amazing how often these things aren't drilled out of a fighter properly. Some decent stuff there, cheers. truth
I agree 100% with this. I really really didn't like his am style for the pros if i'm honest with you but he's removed that "scoring part of the glove mentality" as he's come along...I just wonder though if he gets into trouble if he might not regress. Tough fight is just as crucial as finding out about that chin.
He's the hardest hitting heavyweight on the planet. But I don't think he's the best British heavyweight.
