The proof is in the modern era, when a guy gets bigger, faster and stronger at 35, it's juice. It is the eye test too, fighters who moved up and weren't on steroids are guys like Julio Chavez and Duran. Those who did juice are Shane Moseley , Pacman, Marquez , Pazienza

Yes, there are clean athletes. Yes, individuals have different principles.

The truth is, most athletes who are doping never get caught. Only a fraction are getting caught, that's the likelihood. The world doping agencies admit this is almost certainly the case.
We just have to assume that a large number and a sigificant proportion of elite athletes use PEDs.

I wouldn't say any of those guys got faster at 35.

Btw, does your accurate eyetest tell you that BHop was juicing?

Were there any clean athletes in the 1930's, the 1950's or the 1970's?

Did this quest for the competI give edge arise in the 1990's?

The sharp and distinct concept of "clean"/"dirty" athletes (in regards to self-adminstered PEDs to gain an advantage) is relatively new.
There was no common consensus about it being a serious form of "cheating" until recently. I'm guessing the 1970s. The 1960s at the earliest.

I think the quest for the competitive edge started with the ancient Greeks or earlier.

So, how do you define the utterly rampant use of amphetamines by pro athletes going bsck at least to the 1940's?

    Were these not performance enhancing?
