Lomachenko's workrate and angles put guys on the defensive. To beat Lomachenko, you have to flip the script on him by 1) pressuring him and 2) punch with him, which ironically, is a strength and weakness for him. That's why I think Lomachenko would beat Mayweather and lose to Pacquiao and Marquez. Pacquiao beats him via pressure or countering. Marquez beats him by countering. Lomachenko can't outfight/outslug Pacquiao and Marquez would have a million countering opportunities. Quite frankly, Lomachenko is made for Pacquiao and Marquez.
Coming in overweight and low blowing/fighting dirty all night... Also having the ref in your pocket so you don't get DQ'd...
This. Salido's aggression and accurate body punching slowed Loma down and had him hesitating and missing a lot of shots that he would normally land.
I don't think he can be out landed in a fair fight. That being said, a counterpuncher with real power and the skills to land willing to let his hands go may be able to hurt him enough to put him away. Mikey is a prime candidate as a test for Loma as he has all the attributes, except whether he will be willing to throw while he is getting tagged. Make no mistake, no-one has Loma's legs and movement so he will always be moving around, confounding, throwing and landing.
take the first 2 or 3 rds to throw one-twos at loma as soon as he starts to make his approach towards you, you will eventually catch him and learn his escape routes when you miss. after that, use your feints to start him on his escape route and time where his head is gonna be,to shoot that straight right. as someone already stated, mikey is tailor made to execute that strategy, and all he needs is to land 1, because he will hurt him, and mikey is a swift finisher when he has you hurt. thats why my money is on mikey, if they ever meet.
