No, he'd just get beaten again.

Might as well. He could beat Chavez, he'd have a good shout against Sturm, he'd make for a great fight with Macklin. He's got a bright future.

    What else can he do?

    4. Legally change his name to Baker

He has a few good options now imo. One of them being that the good exposure last night on HBO might open up some more opportunities stateside in the future as well.

Macklin, Sturm, Lee etc would all make a good set of fights between one another

Macklin, Lee, Chavez or Sturm would all be good fights for him. He done a lot better than I expected last night, I had the fight even after 8 when Sergio took over, he should have the options of some big fights.

fight macklin (lets say he wins) fight strum for a world title (lets says he wins again) have a unifaction fight with Martinez (lets say he wins AGAIN) he can then do what he wants if he beats them three next in tht order then he is the king of the middleweight division.

On a side note I think Barker would beat Macklin and Strum but lose to Martinez again as long as Martinez doesnt suddenly slow down (age.)

Apart from Martinez, Barker could beat pretty much everyone in the division. I don't think he would necessarily but he's certainly good enough to score victories over the likes of Sturm, Geale, Lee, Chavez, Macklin, etc.

If I was him I'd try to fight someone like Manfredo ASAP. Then I'd push for a fight against the Sturm/Murray winner.

I'd like to see him against Chavez or Macklin. Maybe even Andy Lee.

Then he can think about the likes of Sturm.

I'd say he's got a very good chance against any of the other title holders in the division. JCC Jr is very protected so I don't know how likely that fight is. How about Geale? He's not a big draw in Australia either so you could probably get him over to England, have homefield advantage.

Sounds like Pirog will get that fight and I think Pirog will do a job on him.

I think the risky fight they could take is Proska for Euro title and a really higher ranking again.

JCC Jnr wont fight, Sturm definetly wont fight another Brit after Murray.

he did exactly as i thought hed do last night, very well, against probably the best middleweight out there. Wasnt quite enough but considering his lack of world class experience the future looks very bright and i honestly believe he has the beating of any of the others mentioned. Id fancy him against sturm next then macklin. I think hes a better boxer than sturm so should be able to out box him ( although i think macklin showed the way to beat sturm) and then outbox macklin.

certainly see him as a title holder, then who knows with a bit more experience and martinez ageing , rematch at the right time could see barker victorious... although im stretching it a bit there
