He needs to be mentally assessed and then take time off from the sport if necessary. After that he should target Wilder (or Helenius if Wilder loses). A Whyte rematch wouldn't put too many bums on seats I should think, and Joyce is career suicide.
Give the NHS a call and set up an appointment. Then call Sly Stallone and ask to be in the next Expendables movie.
He will come again. Some rest then fight someone like Hrgovic an undefeated fighter in December. Then plan his assault on the title next year. I want to see him fight more regularly. The long spells between stadiums does not help his development.
I’m sure Joshua is tied into a big money contract with Dazn and Hearn is also mentioning him fighting in December. I would not be surprised if he fights Zhang in December as it’s a fight that would sell and certainly a winnable one for Joshua. There is also the Joyce v Parker winner and we would all like to see Wilder v Joshua but I think Wilder will go the WBC route once more . Despite Joshua’s second loss to Usyk there are still a lot of options available for him .
A musical Christmas Special on DAZN M.C. Meltdown and the A-Jays (featuring Cousin Benga on drums) Live from Reading Gaol perform the hit singles "Bismillah", "No Twelve Round Fighter" and "There's Something Going On (in Ukraine ....and It's Not Nice!)"
It was a high level boxing match. Besides that it was the wrong tactic against Usyk who is the better boxer, and better all around fighter to be honest. Still This version of Joshua would have boxed circles around Ruiz. They should have AJ fight 1 or 2 easy easy fights. Knock some guys out get the fun back into it. Then he can battle it out domestically. Then down the line in 2024 maybe a title shot.
AJ knows while Fury and Usyk are on the scene his chance to be champ again is zero. Does AJ have enough drive and love for the squared circle to continue fighting in non title bouts, i am not so sure, perhaps a bout between AJ and Wilder might suit both parties now, as it would sure be a big money bout in the UK, so a nice final payday for the pair. After his child like reactions in moments after Usyk bout results, i think AJs fanbase might have diminished slightly, but still plenty who will pay hard earned money to watch a Wilder bout. I say retire and exit stage left, he has a wealth that is unimaginable, he still has his health, and is young enough to make a life outside boxing and be successful at it.
