Seen the fight around 6am in the morning after a lengthy record on Sky Plus, Lamont Peterson proved tonight that heart and determination can get you far in the ring against the elite of fighters. He cut the ring of properly and showed grit and heart against the champion and yes the fight was close and (had it personally 114 - 114). This truly takes off Khan's spectacular rise from prescott, there is now a blueprint on how to beat khan by cutting off the distance and whatnot. However the question remains where does AK go from here, will there be an immediate rematch or will AK fight journeyman fighters to rebuild confidence.!!

We can agree on one thing, King Khan has been dethroned even if we wanted him to go to higher levels in the spor. Maybe he just does not have it at elite level!

I have not watched the fight but based on the reports and what happened in the Maidana fight. He needs to work on his inside game and then work his way back to a title shot.

I know that Petersens blue print for that win was watching the Maidana fight especially and also the Kotelnik fight, in which Khan's tactic later in the fight was to run away and try and pot shot to steal the rounds.

If he had some kind of inside game to mix it up, he would have been able to fight a better fight and be more dominant throughout the round.

he will lose to Petersen in an immidiate rematch, Petersen blueprinted him and Khan needs to fix his flaws first.

if he wants to reach the top he needs to commit now to a 2 year rebuilding to make the adjustments he needs with a new trainer.

He needs to rebuild like Pacquiao did against Morales.... Forget retiring at 28, I always thought that was crazy!

I think team AK will seek an immediate rematch...HBO wants it and Golden Boy want it!

Rematch, I think he wins a rematch in a close fight. As long as fight is not in Washington.

If fight is in the uk, khan wins hard fought but wide UD

If fight is in las Vegas with Cortez, again it wou
D be close but clear ud.

In LAs Vegas with kenny bayliss or steve smogger and the fight would be very close, a draw or split decision for either guy.

Peterson has shown the blueprint for khan, but I still see it as an even fight.

Now someone like matthyse, maidana or Brandon rios at 140 - that's pure kryptonite for khan right there. Maybe even Bradley with his in fighting. All of them would give khan fits as long as you have a ref that let's them work on the inside, ie anyone but Cortez or a British ref

Like someone else said change trainer. Roach's style does not help Khan with his weaknesses.

So Khan is going to change trainers every time he loses? He needs to work out how to fix his flaws with roach and get it sorted. I think a rematch with Lamont is the next move, could be a make or break move but if he wins it would eradicate most of the damage from this loss. Good wake up call for him, he needs to stop fouling and work on his inside game and this loss will force him to do so.

If he loses his next fight, its curtains for his career...cant see him taking on a risky fight, and both Peterson and Prescott are risky for him...i think it'll be someone softer that hes sure to win against...then maybe Peterson in a 6 months to a year...and even then, I think they'll push for it to be somewhere that'll give Khan the edge, possibly with a ref that'll and allow him to foul

    Rematch Peterson ASAP

Khan went to his backyard and got a hard deal, would Peterson come to Manchester to repay the favor? I think not, not many have the balls to do what Khan done being a champion at his age.

Vegas will have to do, and please not the same ref as tonight.

would you prefer a ref that allows Amir to cheat more?
