I would love to see him v Malignaggi again at Welter for the WBA title. Malignaggi would want his defeat off his resume Khan might take a break and see what Garcia does, was there a rematch clause? If not Garcia might fight Judah and I would fancy Judah to beat Garcia, then Khan could go after Judah again Olusegun could be a good option, undefeated fighter The Kell brook fight could happen now or he could have a fight with his arch nemises in the ameaturs in Victor Ortiz Khan has loads of options, my favourite is a Malignaggi fight
@ Hitman I wouldn't be surprised seeing as Paulie is feather fisted. However I still think it will be a repeat of the last fight, a simple clash of styles. I dont really like Paulie as it is, never really rated him.
Tune up, maybe 2 (I'd actually be tempted to put Khan up against Prescott again, if he cant beat him now...), Kel Brook in battle of britain, look to avenge Garcia loss or see where Judah, Malignaggi, Maidana are at and if any of them fancy a crack at avenging their loses. Something along these lines is the only way that I can see Khan having a chance at rising back to the top and calling the shots himself. Very little room for more errors in this career, It's a very long road and I wouldn't be surprised if he's cashed in at some point...
He needs to get with his team and think about where he goes from here. He has great hand speed and his punch-stats for the Garcia fight were high in connect rate. However, his attitude of wanting to slug it out can't work for him against just about any guy that can find that chin not named "Malignaggi The Feather Fisted". I believe he could have easily won the Garcia fight if he would have stayed outside and potshot the guy using his reach and speed. He was throwing much straighter shots than Garcia and the only way Garcia could connect was for Khan to get close enough for those wide sweepers Garcia was throwing to hit home-------and hit home they did. Basically, he needs to fight to his strengths and forget about trying to be a banger. He doesn't have the chin for it and never will.
Seeing as he's coming off effectively two losses in a row and he's not a live gate draw at all stateside, take a fight at home in the UK against a safer opponent.
I've always hated that mentality in boxing. If the rematch occurred and Malignaggi won, it doesn't make it 0-0 between the two fighters like the first loss never happened, it makes it 1-1. Does anyone say in football if a team wins the 2nd match between the two in a season that the first loss never happened?
His power is decent without being devestating enough to be able to stand and trade. As for fighting Malligaggi, I dont see why that fight would be any different to the last one. Khan would dominate him. Lets not forget, Khan is still a guy with an array of skills and ability, he just seems to not have a great chin. Paulie is tailor made for Khan.
