How about moving up to light welter?? Hes a large lightweight. Yes its full of big punchers but i believe ricky may hang and even outbox a couple (rios , garcia ,peterson). Theres a kahn fight there aswell. Much more oppurtunity. Who has the wbo in the LW division?

  3. gonzalez deserves a rematch but eddie/team burns will avoid big time,

I think Burns should take a relatively easy fight next just to see him keep winning then get Broner to drop 140 after the mallingaggi fight and himself to step up in weight to fight him for what will be his biggest pay day of his life by far. After last nights performance i think he should cash in on the big fight sooner rather than later

Actually laughing at this thread.. Got to love East Side Boxing.. Only fights in lightweight for burns is Vasquez and Abril.. Should fight both then move up to light welter... Gonzales doesn't deserve a rematch he got beat simple as!!

Last nights Burns-Gonzales fight underlines precisely why Mitchell needs to go back down a weight class. He is too small at the weight and he wouldnt have survived a 7th round like last night.

Billy we all know ricky didn't fight the real Kevin Mitchell that night

  15. Demarco, big name, former world champ who Burns can beat in an exciting fight that the casuals would enjoy. Abril, Vasquez, Gamboa, just dreams of fans that wont come through, if Rickster got outslicked by Gonzalez what do you think will happen against either of those 3 ? Rees is a crap fight he just got outclassed by Broner and while it would be a mildly entertaining fight that Burns could win its not what we should expect from big time boxing Hearn & Sky, if it comes we should all be seriously disappointed.

    Demarco is the perfect opponent.
