This was a big loss for him. Where does he go from here?

I thought Miranda was the real deal at Middleweight and would rule there. A lot of us thought he could beat Arthur Abraham in a rematch, Kelly Pavlik, and then Jermaine Taylor. Many fans had very high expectations for Miranda but it has never panned out at MW or SMW.

Miranda needs to lean more skills, although Ward was allowed to hold excessively the entire fight.

I couldn't beleive how easily Ward beat Miranda.

I expected a hard fought decision victory for Miranda ala the Allan Green fight.

He is too one dimensional. He is like a small sam peter that fouls like evander holyfield. For him, coming in tonights fight at his best, there isnt any room for him at the elite ranks at 168. He will always be a chin test though for anyone so he can continue to be matched against up and comers who need to break into the top 10.

If I was handling him i would move him up again where guys are slower. Keep him away fromt eh fast chad dawson's and match him against plodders and he might win. They said tonight he went up to 224lbs between his fights.

He's too one dimensional and too far gone at this point to ever be a champion. His skill set is so one dimensional and he loses focus and inspiration too easily. Basically Miranda would need a miracle worker trainer and a lot of luck to be anything other than a fun to watch decent journeyman type.

Sam Peters is another fighter with all the talent in the World to beat any Heavyweight but is plagued by laziness.

Remember when he was going to demolish Pavlik and Taylor to take over the middleweight division?

he will become cannon fodder for the up and
coming super middles. he will win some, but
his days as a contender should be over. in a
bigger version of mayorga sort of way.

    minus the 2 belts though.

Miranda looked the absolute WORSE I have ever seen him tonight, this guy always comes up with excuses after loses, I wonder what the excuse will be in the coming days.

Imo, there is nothing for him to do! he had many chances now, but have only showed once again that he can only beat average fighters who stands still in front of him, Miranda can only defeat a punching bag!

He will never become a good tester for young upcomming fighters either, he is way to one demensionel for that! The guy was simply a pure product of hype!

He is basically a poor mans Mayorga at this point Maybe he can move up to a to 175 or down to 160 to try and get a title as they are both weaker divisions than 168, problem is he may be drained at 160 and have too weak a chin to compete at 175 so he is basically a gatekeeper and should look at guys like Lacy.

This is a little harsh. Miranda has some good wins and even if he is one dimensional that one dimension is impressive. The guy has real punching power. He is risky for anyone.

I honestly think that punching power is becoming VERY overrated. He gave abraham all he could handle, but ANY fighter is prone to having there jaw broken(does not happen frequently i know, just making a point) if it lands on the right spot. Weaker opponents he seems like a monster, a step up in class he becomes the gatekeeper he is destined to become.
