Cynic in me says that this result already dialled in. He loses but with honour, either by nearly going the distance, or on a points loss that he can question. He leaves having been the man who stepped up when AJ wouldn't and says in retrospect it was too early but someone had to defend British boxing's good name (please stop laughing at the back). He then returns to a new BT sport can crushing deal. Leveraging the exposure this fight got him into some easy pay days in advance of either stepping up or stopping completely. But hopefully this isn't one of those occasions where the sport lets us down.
HE will collect a big fat cheque and then fight AJ for another fat cheque. Hopefully he wins against AJ and can re fight Wilder at 100%. Then once he is the unified undisputed champ well the worlds his oyster.
