definately ref shouldn't have the judged that fight. mcdermott's title was on the line, but it was treated as a gimme for fury, i'm not a fan of either but mcdermott did enough to win. think it would have taught fury more if he'd have lost, then slow down on the showmanship and mouth, and do his learning and get the hard work in.

Jim Watt was commentating on Calzaghe vs Lacy.

What we actually saw was Calzaghe vs Hopkins

:D, I've no idea why Jim Watt likes John McDermott so much.

I think he needs to settle down in his training - he's moved about a bit and has said in the past that he has barely had any sparring. Don't know if that was the case tonight.

Although he should fight McDermott again I can't see that an 8 fight novice can't take a couple easier fights before. I'd like to see him against someone with an average record but who can punch to give him the incentive to tighten up on that non-existent defence.

    What next for Fury?

A haircut and some surgery to stop him blowing his nose all the time. It's like a nervous tick.

I Noticed the nose thing before, thought it was a bit strange but oh well.

Id like to see Fury get in better shape, he looked wankered tonight, that defence needs a lot of work as well. He could do with throwing the right hand a bit more and less of the arm punches. Hes still young though dont forget, plenty of time to improve.

Fury needs to find a new trainer, do some important sparring and then look to get back into the picture with a re-match against McDermott or a few other good British boxers.

He needs to pick his shots better and stop wasting so many punches. Firstly though, his defence needs sorting out.

Welcome back, 'WorldsGreatest'. Flint would probably chop a finger off to find out how you've managed to set up so many accounts after being banned.

I had tyson winning the fight. But this should be a wake up call. All the talk was that he would fight the winner of prizefighter, but on tonights evidence he should be taking a step back and not even thinking about those guys. The guys only had 8 fights, theres no need to rush him.

he needs to hone his skills more before stepping up again although i think he makes adjustments and wins a rematch.

he didn't fight to his strengths, didn't keep range, didn't establish the jab and footwork was awful moved like a centipede with 98 missing legs at times.

The guy needs to immediately rematch mcdermott but get a proper trainer this time and get some bloody sparring.
