anyone have any ideas what john duddy will do for this point after finally losing for the first time who could he make a comeback fight against. Lee? Macklin? Vera? Lyell reamtch? Personally i think that if it was a clearer descision of a ko loss duddy isnt the type to be able to comeback so maybe he was luck it was as close as it was.
The Irish will be crying in their beer.Everyone else knew it was a scam.Pavlik must be pissed. It would have been a nice payday and an easy one at that.:|
seriously when i saw Lyell went the distance against Vanes Martirosyan i thought he just might cause Duddy problems but then figured Duddy would still probably knock him out considering Vanes is much smaller than Duddy You can't spell Duddy without Dud
depends.....if he was ever a real fighter, he'll bounce back, and learn from this, and continue to improve not just his boxing ability but his will to win but if he's a joke, a fraud, a false hero, like how he's looking after losing to this guy i've never even heard of, he'll dissapear faster then Jason Litzau's fanbase...
Macklin vs. Duddy? Great win for Macklin, career ending defeat for Duddy. (Replays Elcock KO in mind and wonders how long Duddy would have survived with Elcock, let alone Macklin).
He has the support of Bob Arum who has rejuvenated flatlining careers before. He'll feel some more C level opposition to Duddy and hope for the best and then toss him in a title fight if he can find one.
I've said for ages that if Duddy is going to stay at 160, his handlers should put the IBO or IBA title in his hands, delcare him a world champion, and build him a nice career fighting no-hopers in Ireland and at MSG. With John's charisma and fan base they could easily get away with that.
lol...again, nobody cared about him over here :yep oly casual boxing fans actually fancied his chances as a prospect?
