what next for jose luis castillo?

Retire.. He's days are over.

 

I hope he can win some smaller fights and get another opportunity at a payday...

 

I would put him in there with Vivian Harris who may be on his way out after his horrible performance against Witter. Then maybe a Juan Lazcano rematch at 140, there's D. Hopkins, Forbes, "Panchito" Bojado, Randall Bailey. Those are all winnable fights for Jose Castillo, even this faded version of himself. A couple of wins over those aforementioned guys, could set up a match with the winner of Malignaggi-Ngoudjo or maybe a shot at Gavin Rees. I think he can still make some noise in the division, not against Hatton and not against Witter but against everyone else. What about Castillo-Torres? That would be a helleva fight.

 

Your thinking about the old Castillo. It's not that he has faded legs it's he's has no legs anymore. The war with Deigo really took his legs from him. He would have no chance against Malignaggi, Torres, and Witter. I think he had his better days and he should have a goodbye fight against a bum in his home town and then think about a life without fighting anymore. I don't think anybody wanna see Castillo get hurt at the end of his fighting days.
