Absolutely crazy if you think Parker is looking at someone like Ortiz.

What i would put forward if i was the manager.

Parker vs Hammer - Solidify that Top 5 rank - The purse required for Hammer would probably be the lowest out of the Top 10 ranked fighters out there
Parker vs Browne - Most likely Brownes retirement fight, good purse for both. Makes sense geographically.
Parker vs Breazeale/Pulev - Would most likely be a final eliminator for one of the titles.
Parker vs Wilder - 3/4 fights away from getting that shot again in my opinion. Dont think the demand for AJ would be there considering how poor the fight was and how ineffective Parker was. Wilder vs PArker would certainly be interesting though.

One thing about Parker though is he will fight the unbeaten prospects. 100%. Ruiz & Hughie Fury good examples of that, nobody knew how good Ruiz or Fury could be but Parker took that gamble anyway. The fact hes a former World Champion & hes also shared the ring with AJ, his stock has risen dramatically over 12 months.

Lucas Browne is a pretty obvious next step for Parker. Decent payday due to the Aussie/NZ link, winnable fight too as Browne looked poor vs Whyte and Browne doesn't have any options for a good pay day.

Bringing Ortiz to NZ isn't out of the question, he wasn't paid a lot for the Wilder fight, only 500K, so it wouldn't break the bank to bring him to NZ but it might mean Parker making less than he normally does for a fight in NZ. So might not be the best option from a financial stand point.

Fighting in the UK would be the smartest move, that's where the money is and there's plenty of UK heavyweights other than Joshua. Haye, Bellew, Whyte, Tyson Fury even.

The Ortiz fight has about about a 5% chance of being made. One of them comes out of the fight on a 2 fight losing streak and the career is on the skids. And the payday for both guys will not be very much, either. They can make about the same $$$ fighting a face first opponent without the risk of that 2nd loss.

Its logical to still make the Lucas Browne fight, despite the fact he was exposed by Whyte as past it. Its convenient and would have interest in that part of the world

just get back in the ring as soon as possible and as many times as possible

he has a whole country backing him/ not sure why people think he does not have financial backing or the means to get opponents

team wilder paid arreola/dulhaupus/molina/spilzka etc etc about £100k
without looking it up i think parker earns 10 times that a fight so financially team parker can lure every single heavy in the world to fight parker bar say povetkin

even offering team wilder $2 million is well within there means

but he must stay active no matter who he fights fight sdoon and fight often and keep his name in the frame for when a title shot becaomes available

so many fighters lose a fight and then you are lucky if you see them twice in the following 2 years.

Lots of good points made on this thread, but the one thing i absolutely detest is that when a fighter loses for the first time "Professionally" the trainers head is wanted on a platter and should be replaced with immediate effect.

Fighters fight and trainers train, and they learn off each other.

Just because Parker lost doesn't make KB a useless coach, he is a decent guy in fact they both are.

They should stick with each other, they took the second coming of whoever 12 good rounds, something nobody thought was possible, even die hard fans thought Joshua blows him away.

Joshua didn't think like that, he knew Parker was dangerous and treated all as such by putting on a very cautious performance, because he is still suffering from the WK fight and knows he can be taken out, so expect more bores to come.

Parker is young fresh and is certainly a man who deserves respect, and if they fought again i have no doubt he knocks AJ out.

Parker and KB both learnt lots in that fight, and should stick at it together and become both a better fighter and coach.

I think he fought up to his ability in the AJ fight & is due a rest.

When he resumes, I think a couple of fights against the likes of Alex Leapai & Lucas Browne would be good for him.

Then go after another belt. Probably target the second tier version of the WBA belt.

It would look good in the trophy cabinet next to the WBO belt.

He should fight that wolf biscuits selling spastic beanpole fraud from Tuscaloosa and relieve him of his WBC strap.

This kind of **** doesn't work on iron Samoan cranium.
