Theres bound to be a rematch, can't see Hope winning the second time though.

I would imagine re-match. I thought Proksa won anyway. I think Matchroom will see a brighter future for Proksa so they will want him to make amends. Cut needs time to heal though.

Hope produced a great performance last night but if the Pole hadnt under estimated him, Hope wouldnt have won. I am glad he won but i cant see him defending his title alot, unless he fights Paul Smith, the likes of Selkirk, Billy Joe Saunders beat Hope imo

He might as well rematch, or take the fight that offers the best money as he'll almost certainly lose it in his first defence.

Major kudos to the guy though, he seriously did himself proud.

Proksa needs to move down to 154lbs, he is tiny for a middleweight.

I spoke with Kerry a week before the fight and he was confident he could win primarily because he thought Proska had under estimated him. He did say he was going to work the jab as he believed this would upset the rhythm of the pole. On the flip side, when i was ringside on saturday night i was sat next to two guys from Polish tv who were covering the fight. They told me Proska had been ill the whole week leading up to the fight and his team wanted to call the fight off but he felt he could still win. I will be speaking to Kerry again today to get his take on the fight and what he expects to happen going forward.

This is true, Steve Wood keeps getting mentioned on his twitter...

    Not sure about options though.

proska will need the cut to heal so Kope will be able to get a defence in before the season is over.

  11. I don't think Steve Wood will be obstructive, he'll just be glad that he's got another European champion.....

By all accounts he's a top bloke, not the sort to stand in the way of a fighter getting an opportunity.

Though he did steer Dilks away from Bellew back in the day.
