What next for matchroom ?

Eddie and British boxing is now waiting for live crowds to return to sporting events.

I understand that in non-league there is approval for pre-season games for 25% of the total capacity to return.

It should be something in that ballpark for the league football games too.

Assuming we dont get any second wave and more mass hysteria over the covid hoax. Then I would expect the allowable percentage of total capacity to only increase all the way up to 100%.

So surely boxing should be looking to arrange some events now. But, If I was a promoter I would not be arranging anything huge before the end of the year. Simply because of how unpredictable things are and the possibility that the event might need to be pulled or the allowable capacity drastically cut.

Entire towns and cities are still being locked down now, purely off them testing more people and healthy people "failing" the test. Unless there are increases in hospitalisations and deaths it means **** all.

So we still are not anyway near being in a rationale and calm place with this.

September: 12th - Joshua Buatsi & Chantelle Cameron
September: 26th
October: Newcastle - with or without crowd.

USA:
September 26th - Devin Haney or Estrada vs Gonzalez - could be pushed back to October 3rd
October: 2 Shows
November: 2 Shows
December: 2 Shows

 

He only said they probably won't be in London.

 

The september ones must be behind closed doors with the same draconian restrictions as the fight camp had...

 

I think the reaction has been overblown and orchestrated at an international level, for a reason other than containing the virus. All for a virus which is now proven to be no more deadly or contagious than the seasonal flu. The government after all has proven time and time again they dont care about our health. So there is another agenda at play here. We will see in time, what this actually was...Some people speculate that it is because they want to roll out a mandatory vaccine, track and trace or just increase levels of controls over the population.

Good luck finding much evidence of it online as google, facebook and twitter is deleting anything that doesnt suit the narrative. Mass deleting it.

He said he didn't wanna do studio shows though. So what's he gonna do, I bet he's trying to think out of the box for his indoor shows

 

One of the issues Hearn has is it’s nearly Autumn, the weather will be getting worse and there are no super large indoor areas in the UK. Matchroom can run events with 5k attendees but you’d have to cut costs to make it work at pre pandemic profit levels.

I doubt that in the short term boxing will be held in the UK indoors in front of large crowds- more likely is the VIP route or perhaps holding cards abroad where at least you would recoup some money by the venue paying to host.

 

Jet lag wouldn't be a issue for much of Africa or middle East fight camps...

No they aren’t. This scamdemic nonsense is all over Twitter/YouTube etc and generally purported by the same idiots who believe the earth is flat.

Orchestrated at an international level by whom? There is no global illuminati, and if there was it wouldn’t be enough to pull off a ‘hoax’ on this scale, do you realise how many opposing global governments/scientists/medics/frontline workers would have to be in collusion to pull something like this off?
