Ive never said in in the know but what i do know is your talking **** about McCarron, my advice to you is try and concentrate on your own fighters and create a champion.
you dont even know me i think, ive been told what club your attached too, when i was told it never suprised me in the slightest,has said before try and achieve what others have instead of trying to belittle them

 

A great guy with loads of guts, he was overated to begin with and fortunate to receive a draw against Beltran.
He is done at world level where he was only marginally acceptable imo.

I don't go about making personal digs at individual posters using information I have gained in my real life. If you are going to bring real life information and digs to a message board, then do it under your real name.

 

I understand what you say about the politics within the sport but in fairness in the amatuers its rife, certain clubs including one in Edinburgh get huge favours given to them, why i couldn't say but they do and everyone knows it, including scotland coaches which in itself is rather shocking.
I admire you and all coaches for giving there time usally for free the develop the talent within Scotland and keeping kids of the street, don't think for a minute pro trainers all make exceptional money they certainly don't, i love doing what i do and was lucky to make some good money when Ricky was the champion but i earned every penny, look how easy that can be taken away from you with peoples influences who think they know whats better for the fighter, i ended up a full time coach and wasn't paid in full for the Mitchell fight because of Ricky's dispute with his previous promoter which left me two thirds short off what i should have been paid, nothing was said or done regarding that by the BBBofC who stated in a letter to me they couldn't pursue it because the fight wasn't sanctioned by the BBBof C, listen to who sanctioned the fight from Micheal Buffer in the intro to the fight.

There is much I agree with in your post.

It does happen the world over and lets put it like this,the lack of payment of a fighter any pro level it seems always coincides with the fighters contract about to expire,history tells us nothing different......imo.

I know of both sides of the coin and it comes down to decent management,guidance do your homework before you sign on as a pro.Promoters will pay ballpark figures and starting out you would be aware it's all about ticket sales,all business it is what it is.

For the novice pro building a fan base many realize quickly after the pro debut when you get a good turnout it can become a minefield,without the right support.

To train hard put your life and soul into training then fighting and not being paid,no wonder many walk away and rightly bitter.

BBBOC and other bodies should clean it up by insisting the fighters money is paid by promoters into an escrow account.Baring a fighter failing a drug test,questionable performance it would at least protect the most affected.... the fighters.

Guess it would be too easy?
