What next for Sergio Martinez?

So after a 2 year run of Cintron, Williams, Pavlik, Williams you're ready to get pissed off if Martinez doesn't fight Zbik next?

Seems like some people just like being upset and having a moan.

 

So you will demand to see Haye-Chagaev then?

 

If Haye doesn't fight a Klitscko yes.

 

ok fair enough, so if Martinez fights a better operator then Zbik say a Pacquiao/PBF or a Bute etc you be pissed off?

 

I will be pissed of he he defends his middleweight title agaisnt someone coming up from light middle at a catchweight. He is the Middleweight champion, fight some top 10 Middleweights.

Theres fights I would rather see him in such as Strum, Pirog, Golovkin, Geale, Sylvester but all of them our champs or mandos for another belt so won't happen next. After that who is there...Zbik who just happens to be his mandatory challanger. He also wants the fight.

 

Would rather see Pacquiao and Mayweather fight eachother or other 140-147lbs fighters and I wouldn't be intrested in the Bute fight. He isn't even a very big Middleweight.

I wanna see champions unify and clear out there divisions.

As I said, if he doesn't unify fight his mandatory who is in the top 10. If he wants to fight Angulo, Margorito, Cintron do it at 154lbs not 156lbs for the Middleweight title.

 

Why shouldn't he fight a unification next? The catchweight at the weekend was down to Williams, it was a fight that all of boxing wanted to see a damn sight more than Martinez vs. any of the 160 fighters you mentioned so thats the fight that happened.

Theres a load of options open to him at the moment and Zbik is just another name in the pack. What next, "Martinez is ducking Zbik" threads?

He beat Spada twice who was in the top 3 with the WBC top 20 independently. Who has Froch beat before his fight with Pascal? Who had Burns beat before his fight with Martinez?


The Haye fight was orderd by Sky TV. The WBA just put there belt to it. Was not a mandatory.

Khan vs Maidana, Katsidis vs Marquez the best two fights for the rest of the year, only happening becasue the WBA and WBO said they have to.

 

I am saying he should, but if he doesn't it should be Zbik.

 

and Mayweather vs Mosley? What else this year?

 

Or you'll be "pissed off"? Thats what I don't get, its fine to have a list of opponents you'd prefer but this situation just isn't worth getting pissed off about.

 

Because if its not a unification or Zbik it will be a catchweight fight which pisses me off.

2. Pirog
3. Sylvester
4. Golovkin
5. Zbik

Thats the order of fighters I would like to see him face. If its not those 5 I won't be intrested. If HBO can pay $1.2mil for Berto vs Hernandez they can pay it for Zbik.

 

As much as i agree about clearing out divisions, i want to see the best fight the best and if Sergio has chance to fight a top p4p guy then i much rather see that then him fight and beat a mando and clear up a division. It's nice idea but Sergio has to look after number one! himself.
