Ortiz dominated the early rounds last night and was on the verge of stopping Peterson, who looked ready to quit. But somehow Ortiz couldn't finish him, and began being countered with ease lunging in. He looked like a seriously limited fighter. A bigger puncher than Peterson would have had him in serious trouble.

A draw was a massive setback for Ortiz, and he just looked happy that it was over. He was set up to fight Maidana or Khan but doesn't desere either of them after that performance. Ortiz should beat Peterson in a rematch but will likely never have the heart and the mind to be great. On last night's performance, Maidana would stop him again.

Ortiz should learn some boxing skills. He thinks too damn much like a puncher. Victor is going to look like a clueless slugger once he steps up the competition if he keeps going on the road he's on.

Rematch Peterson, Victor is still a very fragile fighter...Put him in with Maidana again, and he gets sparked sooner than he did last time...

I'd be happy to see a Peterson re-match or, if he's ready, a fight with Kotelnik.
