well, you say that...but this is the same public that bought into harrisons hype before the haye fight...and so many people were picking him to win....the same harrison that was in a position of not being forgiven by the british boxing fans long before the fight....haye could be in harrisons role against an unbeaten rising star in chisora or fury...it could and would sell.

People are being far too harsh on Haye, it's ridiculous!. I honestly think he boxed well, just fell short.

I missed the toe incident because I was watching a German transmission (they dub over the interviews). I saw him shake the hands of Wlad and Vitali :conf

I agree excuses never come across well, and the trash talking will have put paid to any sympathy he might have received.

I don't think Haye's ego would allow him to fight that sort of fight. He sees himself as a superior fighter and athlete ; almost above the sport in ways; using it as vehicle to acting and stuff like that. Harrison clearly loves the sport and is prepared to look like a bit of a tit in the eyes of the public in order to fight on. That's the difference between him and the likes of Chisora and Harrison.

i hear you brother, but the british title is a very prestigeous title and i cant see how haye could earn any more money from one fight than going that route

He should fight a top 10 American like Chambers or Arreola in the States. To be honest for all that he has shown himself to be a ***** he probably is the 3rd best heavy around.

Haye ditches Booth. Klitschko ditches Steward. Haye and Steward team up and Haye has belief in his new trainer and vows to fight on for 2 more years...Haye - Wlad October 2012 London.

Retire. Obviously he still has plenty left in the tank but if that was his plan he might aswell stick to it. Cruiserweight sucks arse and going out beating Arreola or whoever wont suddenly make him able to beat Wlad. Nothing to do.

One ''Farewell Fight'' bit like Naz but it's known his last bout and he will walk away.

I think he's lost a great deal of credibility and i don't see the Klit's letting him have another chance. I think he will have one more fight probs against Arreola and then jack it in. Fans won't take him serious anymore i know plenty of casuals who have now bought into his hype twice and seen him dance off back foot for 12 rounds. Also don't see many going after him to fight because he offers little and according to HBO guy before last night he's still not that well known over in US??.

Made a lot of money for someone with under 30 pro fights, he's done well for himself.

I'm coming round to the idea he should fight on and earn back some legitimacy. Retiring is the easy thing to do but if he's at all worried about how he's going to be perceived in the future he needs to fight on now. He may not be, but if he is he should fight on because currently its not looking good for him. Nearly everything he's done has been somewhat trumped by this last couple of years.

He can still fight the Adamek's, Povetkin's (these two especially) and a few other names. He'd be a favorite in my eyes to win all those fights and they're going to play out a lot more exciting than Haye vs Big men. The Klitschko loss is always going to be the full stop, but he can at least put a bit more meat into the paragraph.

That's a good point T and i would like to see him at least fight on to improve what he's pretty much pissed on over recent years and carve out a decent HW resume.

But does he want it enough? does he have the hunger for it? not so sure from interview i seen he seems pretty laid back and sorta ''oh well, i tried, got my excuse and my millions''

Dunno if he has, he's got to find the answer to that within himself over the next weeks. I wouldn't like to go out like that, I don't think most fighting men would and I'm not sure David will.

Hypothetically: If he came back and gave us the fights I mentioned, and I do believe they'd play out to be a LOT more exciting than Haye vs the super heavyweights, and won them in good fashion...I think he'd earn a great deal of respect. If he just keeps his head down, makes the fights, STFU a little and does the job. I think we could say, yes he made some big mistakes and made a twat of himself, but he showed good courage to come back and prove he wasn't a flash in the pan at heavyweight.
