I reckon take a couple of give me fights, he deserves a few easy fights and he needs to get some wins on his record. Build him up to either a fury rematch or a price fight and go from there. Would love to see him knock out adamek in the future. The good thing about chisora is that win or lose, people will want to watch him. He puts it on the table and is entertaining both outside and inside the ring.
Agree with earlier posts that he needs a few morale boosting wins under his belt. Then maybe Helenius II, Fury II or Price. He could carve out a respectable career for himself as a HW division top 10 gatekeeper. Still deserves to be treated with respect.
I do think he needs a couple of easier fights, he has given a good account of himself in his last three fights. I would give him a soft one next, then look to tie him in at Euro level, Helenius 2 or maybe even Fraudley, they would keep his profile up and be decent wins on paper. Frank is absolutely right in saying he needs more experience. I think with a good bit of management he could be a legit top 10 HW.
Rumours that Frank will utilise him in Newport in September as part of a show. If that is the case then anyone in the top 50 will do although I doubt many genuine contenders would want to face him if he does become more polished. Chisora needs to get a bit fitter and work on his technique in the next year.
The problem is, last time he went back down a level (albeit he didn't fight Wlad in the end, but he was going too), he didn't take it seriously and threw it away by eating cheeseburgers. He was creditable when the odds were stacked against him, but he needs to now show he's above the other fringe contenders by putting some wins together. Luckily for him, the HW division has no shortage of fringe contenders. Kingpin is a very beatable name.
i was thinking about the progression Chisora is making and i really think he is to inconsistent. I was surprised HOW OPEN he was to hit i personally think he needs to leave Don Charles and go to America and rebuild his career. Just get away from the media and concentrate on sparring learning and getting good advice. Its obvious him training in the UK he knows all the best fast food places and he cheats himself weight-wise. He needs to be taught how to be more defensive as he only knows one way to fight -come forward and when he gets there he is open to get hit coming in.
I would say a few record padders and then get him in with fury again, derek will have learnt a huge amount in going the distance with vitali, giving haye some problems and (unofficially) beating helenius. His head movement has improved since fighting fury the first time around and I think he would beat him in the rematch
I think he's got enough name recognition now that he can go out and get himself a fight with most HWs. I think he'd do well in a rematch with Fury.
