Call it a day mate now

Hes been a world champion and fought Broner in the states, cant see him getting another big fight.

Tonight he peformed like a warrior and this fight will be remembered by welsh boxing fans for years to come

Rematch or retire. Only reason to rematch is imo to go out on a Win he won't get another significant fight regardless so my advice would be call it a day, he is 33 with nothing to prove and in some ways despite loosing tonight going out in such a war like a true warrior on his shield is a good way to retire rather than idk getting sparked by someone and looking a very shot fighter.

Rees should call it a day. He has won everything, but he's declined a lot.

I've always thought gav should have been a weight or two below lightweight, proper nutrition he would have pissed the lower weights with his height.

I thought this. Winning a world strap at 140 was a massive achievement. If he wants to rematch Buckland then fair enough but otherwise retire. He's got nothing to prove.

Yeah, kind of like Broner at LW, even though he won a world title at 140, for me he had no real business that heavy.

He has been a good fighter in some entertaining fights, I thought he was unlucky to not get the nod tonight but it depends if he is happy with himself and the level that he fought at... I can't see him at this stage of his career challenging for a world title, and he has achieved to much to be content with 'gatekeeper' status.

I had him up by a round, certainly not a robbery but not the decision I would have made

Ian John-Lewis scored the fight for Rees, so maybe there's a future for him as a judge rather than a ref. I had Rees beating Buckland too. Some nice slapping from Buckland.
