Yes Groves stopped vs Froch but c'mon the fight was very much even up until the stoppage. Losing to Froch was no disgrace.

Would be good to see Jr hibernate for a bit and go work with Derrick James, get tons of invaluable sparring in with Spence and the Charlo's. Derrick James is a tailor made coach for him and that gym suits him to a tee.
If I was him I'd be on the next flight to Texas, take it from there maybe come back with a fight against Brahemer who's suited to his style and take on winner of DeGale Truax rematch for the strap end of the year or early next

Who would you describe as elite in the current 168 division? You have Ramirez, Smith, Benavidez, Degale, Truax, Zeuge, Hart...i’m struggling for significant names in that division that I would describe as elite. I simply wouldn’t describe any of them as that but I would confidently put Groves at the top of that tree.

Separately, when you talk about Junior’s ‘unrefined’ natural ability, what natural abilities are you alluding to?

For Groves, he'll UD another hypejob in June.... and for Eubank Jr. more BEATDOWNZ possibly await. I don't see him beating any of the top SMW's or MW's to be honest. He loses brutally to Benavidez, Ramirez, Smith, Uzcategui all batter him from one side of the ring to the other. DeGale fight is 50/50, and I don't think a win over Truax is a sue thing, especialy if the guy that whipped Chunky's ass shows up.

Groves v Degale isn't 50/50. Degale is well n the slide now.

I was referring to Eubank, in retrospect, it wasn't all that clear, I'll edit it to clarify.

I’d like to see groves fight benavidez or Ramirez after he beats smith in the final. I think Ramirez has said after his last fight that he wants to fight for the other belts.

    I agree

The first fight, although we have to accept Froch won because its in the record books, I will never see that as a genuine stoppage. That's why we got the rematch, there was uproar because it so so controversial.

The second fight was (as you say) very close up until Froch threw what he said was "the best right hand of my career". That is really is some statement from Froch.

No disgrace losing to Froch, he will be remembered as one of the best SMW's and is a bit of a British boxing legend.

I'm glad the Eubanks have gone quiet, they really needed to, there has been no twitter, no social media or interviews for a couple of days and that's a good thing, they need to let this settle.

Also it was a little bit ridiculous seeing Jr in the gym the day after, swollen face, stitches, doing all the things that people have criticised him for..

Average pad work, hitting wall apparatus and the rest, he needs to take some time off, make quite a few decisions and then make another assault on a decided weight class, personally I hope it's 160.
