Yeah, but securing a TV deal, lots of good promising fighters (Macklin, Murray, Quigg, Vassell, Murray etc.) and building a 'home gym' for his fighters is a hell of a good start from Hatton - plus he puts on some of the best undercards in this country. Also, to put in perspective he has done this in less than 12 months.
Spot on...:yep Hatton will have it sewn up within 18mths...The majority of fighters will sign for him... He is banging out the undercards by a country mile...:good
Hennasey always lacked the big promoter mentality. Besides the Froch fight in USA (in which he had minimal input) most his shows were rubbish and just like small regional shows but with the worst looking card girls ever seen. Never understood why Froch has stayed with him either unless he enjoys fighting in small arenas. Witht he right promoter Froch could have been huge as it is hennesey literally became huge.
They will probably just disapear like Hayemaker apart from Froch who will stick with Hennesey on the showtime/super six contract.
Who gives a **** about Henessy anyway? I can see Murray leaving him for Hatton, especially as I've heard him slag Hennessy off and basically hinted that he was just waiting for his contract to run out.... although that was a year ago (make of it what you like) If Froch has any brains he'll leave him for a promoter that will garuntee him TV exposure, although I don't expect it to be Warren.... due to his 'warren boxing organization' comments and constant slagging off of the man. The same for Barker, he needs the exposure badly at this point of his career.
They will all go to Hatton I think, he is developing a good relationship with the TV companies and I think that they could become a part of the global Golden Boy product... I think that this would be great for British Boxing...:yep
Hatton is Sky's blue eyed boy, no wonder with the amount of money he has made for them over the past decade. It was no surprise to see him land a deal immediately regardless..... but in fairness his shows are better than Hennessy's.
Talking about the super six has anyone seen that 24/7 style show they do on it? When all the promoters are pictured together, Mick looks like a kid just happy to be at the table with the grown ups.
When Gary Shaw (I think) asks him to do the 'cheers' thing - Mick looks like a 13 year old who has just been allowed his first full beer over Sunday dinner!
If there's no TV contract I can see Murray, Tyson Fayurray and Barker going to Hatton x 2 and Maloney or Warren. I think Froch has pretty much done what he wants with Mick's support over the years and couldn't see him signing that control to one of those promoters on the terms they'd want while the Super 6 is on so Cobra/Hennessey promotions may be around a bit longer yet.
I think that once the Super 6 is done Froch is his own man...:yep He will go where he can get the most money in the least amount if fights...:yep I think that he will go with Hatton...:yep
To be honest, if Froch has a decent win or two in this tournament he might self promote. That must surely be the aim for any professional fighter...... or is it because I am seriously headstrong and greedy :think Put it this way, I'd have no ****er other than my trainer getting any of my purse, and I'd insist on the final say of who I got in the ring with - none of these Eurobums coming over to be bashed up for £300 apiece..... unless I took ALL the profit :yep
