In all seriousness, he should stay close to boxing. He has said numerous times that without the discovery of boxing he'd have died in prison (whether as a young man or serving a stack of consecutive sentences). Obviously he's been out of trouble and living straight and narrow for a long time now, but take away his rock of the last 2+ decades and recidivism isn't out of the question. We've seen harder falls from the top. Like Tyson and Tapia - although his appetite for self-destruction isn't anywhere near theirs - it's probably best for him to remain involved with the sport in some capacity so he doesn't go stir crazy. Commentating, training, promoting (under his own banner, not back as a GBP partner) - I could see him thriving in any and all of these areas.
Very disrespectfull from you IB. Shame on you:verysad In all honesty Bernard should Give us boxing fans our money back after robbing us since 2005 from seeing decent fight.:-D
B-Hop should share his knowledge and train guys. He has nothing to prove and everything to lose if he keeps on fighting.
I would like to see BHop retire and just focus on promoting. I would also love to see him become a trainer and bring someone up to that world championship level.
Nobody here likes Hopkins and this is a thread made for those that simply didn't get what they really wanted Saturday night which was to see him badly hurt cause you know how his style his so why would you see that if it was not to see him get hurt. Shame on you. I hope he gets that Bute fight and you do whatever you like as free and independent men.
same fight as Dawson. another decision loss. Hopkins is old and really a bit overrated now. It is good he won the title from Pascal. I would rather his name be the oldest champion than Foremans, since I think the lightweightguys are better and it is harder to win when you are older in the lighter weights. Foreman also had 3 chances in his comeback to win a title, and finally beat Michael Moorer, who did not have a strong chin.
