If Mitchell had finished the round, he would no longer have been up on the cards. He got KO'd after putting in a decent performance, but Linares is a class above him. The swelling wasn't caused by a headclash and that's what finished the fight in the end.

Had the fight gone 12, Linares would have won a SD with one joke hometown scorecard.

Doubt Hearn would allow it with them both with Simms but id love to see Mitchell vs Burns rematch or them both in a super 6 style tournament amongst the likes of Crolla Matthews Flannagan Cardle etc

That old chestnut , Kevin was getting beatdowns regularly in the last few months in sparring sessions from Ricky , In the lead up to crawford hearn watched them both spar and even commented to a mate of mines who was there to watch , Well a guess thats a match up that wont happen again due to it being that one sided !! also recently it was in the press Ricky opened up the wound on the bridge of kevs nose , Kev knows Ricky has his number everytime

But if its true Mitchell needs to retire, because Burns is well past it nowhere near world level anymore and if he is really beating up Mitchell in sparing then there is no point in continuing

If the majority think the likes or Burns Mitchell and other british lightweights arent world level , a super 6 would be a great idea imo and would also generate the best possible paydays for the lads
