Isn't Margarito going to fight Cotto once they win their matches?

Quintana has a lot of opportunties now, he can fight the winner of the Mosley/Judah fight, he can fight Collazo, (another Puerto Rican) Berto, or even gun for Mayweather.

Cintron/MArgarito and Gomez/Cotto are all out of the question for now. So Clottey or Collazo would be a fine defense. Mosley would be good too. I'd prefer Berto take another couple fights. Going from Trabant, who just wasn't throwing, to a top contender might be too big a jump.

so he should just cash out cause he knows he cant beat Cotto then? why not take the chance and set yourself up for greater money? Becasue he's scared....that's why. And because of that he will never amount to anything. He would probably do better in a Cotto rematch anyways. Of course in your mind he should fight some lower level contenders for what exactly? to make his record better? hes gonna have to face somebody soon with that belt of his. Of course he could fight bums for next to nothing until he loses again because he is always going to have that picture of cotto waxing his ass for every fight he is in. **** that ****. Lennox Lewis got knocked out twice, and came back to knock out (or make quit) the guys who got him. Now look at his legacy and the money he makes. That's a true champion and is what happens when you face your fears instead of bowing down to 'cash out'. **** Quintana for real.

    Winner of Cintron/Margarito.

The best next fight for him.

There's Joshua Clottey, Luis Collazo, Kermit Cintron, Zab Judah, Shane Mosley, Andre Berto, A rematch with Paul Williams, Victor Ortiz, Antonio Margarito ....all of those guys are opponents he can face.

He SHOULD avoid Cotto at all costs because if he faces him again it'll be the same result.

my point is that if he is scared to fight cotto again, he loses to every last one of those guys you listed. He is always going to have a mental weakness unless he avenges that loss. I see it every time with fighters, it happens over and over again.

I dunno if I'd say he's got a mental weakness....sometimes somebody just has your number. Cotto has his and he knows it. I'm sure after their 2nd fight, Tommy Hearns knew Iran Barkley had his.

That's not to say a guy like Margarito or Clottey won't have his either, just that he's better off finding out against those guys than knowing what he knows against Cotto.
