Well, I doubt that Shields is gonna go for the "drop 20 pounds the day before weigh-in's" routine again if he fights GSP - that was an anomaly. With that, I think Shields deserves a shot. He's the only guy at 170 who has the resume and hasn't already lost to GSP. Make that fight, then let GSP move up to 185. GSP still needs to add another 10 pounds of muscle before he's ready to make middleweight his home.
