Which by your own admission means Dubios is first in line doesn't it? Wilder can't just magically jump to the front of the line after losing to Fury twice and only beating a former sparring partner in Helenius.
Dubois will be a 5/1 underdog if I had to guess. Being 2 inches taller, 20 lbs heavier, 10 years younger in his mid-20's, with far less physical wear and a much bigger puncher gives him an outside chance. But he's majorly up against it: - Got dropped 3x and was allegedly injured in the 1st round in his previous fight by a light punching southpaw cruiser 10/1 underdog (his only southpaw opponent) - Failed to drop or stop journeyman spoiler Kevin Johnson over 10 rounds - Blatantly quit on a Joyce jab in the 10th round after his eye had closed (Joyce being Dubois’ only serious opponent in 20 pro fights) and Usyk will target the eye with his left hand - Never gone past 10 rounds before, only 63 rounds pro experience, world title debut, away debut, B-side debut, first time fighting as the underdog (and a wide one at that) - No wins of note, best win by a margin being Gorman KO5 (who was later KO'd in 3 by former white collar boxer Wardley) - Shorter, less rangy, less skilled, far less experienced and less athletic than Joshua, who 2x P4P No.1 GOAT southpaw HW Usyk beat comfortably x2 - Dubois’ (now former) trainer has admitted that Usyk is a bad stylistic matchup - Dubois’ conqueror Joyce was recently battered and stopped in 6 by a Chinese southpaw - Left long-time coach Shane McGuigan within 11 weeks of the Usyk fight
Yes , i never said anything else . The point however is that usyk delayed an agreement with dubois for months and even bursted a deadline to agree . Then wba announced that in this case wilder will be next mandatory for him and magically after this he agreed with dubois immediately ... I,m not advocating wilder and i,m not against usyk but it is obvious that he prefers to fight dubois than wilder for clear reasons . I think we all agree that a fight against wilder would be far more interesting and would give a way more purse . He even accepts a slim pay to NOT fight wilder and that tells a lot . He simply fears to loose against wilder.
His chances of winning are almost the same as the chances of Usyk suffering a serious injury, going over his ankle, breaking his wrist, etc.
Agreed. Wilder definitely can smell a coward with handpicked opponents when he sees one—he has been looking in the mirror through his entire career after all.
According to Hrgovic and I THINK Dave Allen… Filip knocked dubois out. COLD. Sent him home early that day.
Would've given Dubois more of a chance with McGuigan in his corner, I'm not sure old school trainer Don Charles will offer much unless the plan is just to put it on Usyk and hope they get lucky.
Is anybody interested to watch this exciting fight live at all ? I,m sure i will not pay a penny for ppv , maybe will watch a summary at youtube next day but thats it .
I give Daniel a 40% chance of a win. Usyk is defiantly a better boxer but as we saw in the Chisora fight, if you put pressure on him, he can struggle. Daniel is more aggrieve than Joshua and will go for it. Usyk does get hit and Daniel is a huge puncher. Its a closer fight than people think. The only concern I have is if Dubois has enough time to prepare after the serious injury,
