he could punch from every single angle, including bringing a right hand down from above like another poster said. he uses the torque from every punch he throws, to throw the next punch. so a right hand from the sky like he used to knock Moore down, and from the follow through, he rips a left uppercut. in that sense, his use of his hips and turning them to their full stretch?

His balance was amazing. he never got off balance even throwing everything in his punches. Moore made him miss on the ropes plenty of times but it didn't throw Marciano off, just kept chugging.

Stamina, power, workrate, The Rock also trained 365 days a year and his fitness levels where superior to anyone else. The Rock would show up to camp already in tremendous shape then would take the training campup to physical extremes seldom seen. He would endure a camp that made the actual fights seem like a break.

The Rock was atheletic, yet you always hear clumsy and awkward, but the reality is that he was unorthodox. He had incredible hand eye coordination and its why he was so accurate with his punches. The workrate is what seperates him and makes him great. He doesnt get passed Walcott or Charles without it. The workrate and abiliy to take punishment are the results of the hard ass training he endured to enable that workrate.

He would get guys to crouch and fight down to his height then throw down on them from above. Great tactic and way to utilize what would otherwise be a deficit.

Getting leverage and loading up into every single shot. Rarely ever clinching because it was seen as a sign of weakness.

A man needs to recognise the precise point in time where he or his material stops being interesting and enters the area of tediousness.

    Tell us, John (Joe).
