You are either a brilliant fraud or a true dullard. Most believe the latter. I have hope for the former.

And you have exhibited nothing revelatory in your understanding of Marciano, in fact nothing beyond the most base level pedantic. I would say to quit flattering yourself, but then no one else would ever do it.

Why the snark, d? CHILL!! Just tried to post a thread that raised 'n intriguing question that I thought old schoolers would be anxious to chime-in on. Not a competition to pound my chest that I know more.

It's not worth pistols at dawn.

I thought it was pretty good, really made people liven up and think instead of posting usual regurgitated bull****. I was genuinely interested like with Burt's "Which fighter..." threads.

I think it was a parody of my response? (Which I probably earned)

Apologies for any offence caused. You clearly know your stuff and you're obviously very well regarded.

Rocky Marciano had a lot of strengths, but only one of them was unique.

You could find a heavyweight with comparable power.

You could find a heavyweight with comparable stamina.

You could find a heavyweight with comparable durability.

You could find a heavyweight with comparable training ethic.

You could even You could find a heavyweight with comparable determination to win.

The one thing that nobody has ever matched, is his absolute obsesion with his winning.

The focus on his face when he is tracking down his opponents is ****ing frightening. Beating the other guy was an absolutely necessary involuntary task for him.

Today we would say that he suffered from obsesive compulsive disorder.
