Are Pacquiao and Mayweather the only two fighters who have a 24/7 or All Access series before their fights? And if not, what other fights would consist of them? Would Canelo/Cotto have 24/7? Or Canelo/Golovkin?
They've had plenty between fighters, it's just most of them are 1 or 2 part series compared to the standard 4 that Floyd usually gets. I'm sure Canelo and Golovkin will have maybe a 1 or 2 part series. Their lack of command of the English language is what will probably reduce it to only a few episodes at most.
I saw Hopkins and pavlik's 24/7... And the cotto ones where he shacks up with his rotund bff. Also, Marquez drinking his own urine will always be one of the more shocking things I remember from the 24/7 series.
Do you think Golovkin/Lemieux will have a 1 or 2 part series since it is PPV? I know some fighters have like one episode, but I'm thinking more along the lines of Mayweather and how he'll have like four episodes.
Canelo/Kirkland Golovkin/Geale (Road to) Do PPV fights have more promotion on HBO versus non-PPV? So, a PPV may be more likely to consist of: - 2 or more HBO 24/7 series - HBO Face Off with Max Kellerman Stuff like that? Though, I don't see Face Off's anymore. I hope they didn't get rid of them. I loved those. :huh
Ward/Dawson There is however 0 doubt that Mayweather/Hatton's 24/7 is the best 24/7 series ever made. It was nuts. You can watch it on YT if it's available
I think they've been cutting back on the 24/7 budget lately, a few years ago they would always do a 4 part lead up to most PPV matches and not usually waste money doing any 24/7's for regular televised shows. Then they scaled it back about 2 years ago to 2 for the PPV's and an occasional Road To for more significant televised matches. Unfortunately it seems as though they've done away with Face/Off which was really great usually, hopefully they'll bring it back in the future.
Martinez/Cotto was awesome, its a pity that the match didn't live up to the Face Off. Wlad Vs Haye was pretty good too, another fight that didn't live up to expectations.
Haye v Vlad was a classic where Haye called Vlad 'a d!ck head' and claimed he was 'getting a F**cking hard on!"
