.. he just came off a crushing KO win over Joppy, had he not fought Hopkins would he be as successful against Echols, Vanderpool, Holmes, etc?

I'd actually pick him over every middleweight of the time except Hopkins. Echols would present some danger because he had heavy hands himself and was naturally bigger, but Trinidad would be able to land with the same ease as he did against Joppy, and Echols chin wasn't better than Joppy's. Holmes and Vanderpool could outbox Tito, but again, I feel Trinidad would be able to get to them with his faster hands and more precise punching, and possibly stop both late, or do enough damage to take a decision. Trinidad's performance against Joppy was fantastic, a worse beating than Joppy got afterwards by Taylor, Bute, and even the Hopkins massacre.

Ditto. Tito really knocked the stuffing out of Joppy, and I think he would have fared well against most other middleweights.

agreed. Trinidad would have been super dominant in that division if BHop wasnt around

How would he have fared against the current division of Pavlik, Taylor, Miranda, and Abraham who I consider underrated at the moment. I think the division is more solid now.

Yep he would, after beating Joppy he was seen as the best mw in the world and just now in hindsight we know he wasn´t.

Tito would do to Miranda what Pavlik and Abraham did to him. Miranda just is not that good.
Taylor would have a chance by beating Tito similar to Hopkins but i don´t think he is as disciplined and he lacks the experience and skill of Hopkins. So, I think Tito would take him out of there somewhere in the middlerounds.
Pavlik´s bit shake chin and bad defence would spell trouble for him. He would come right at Tito and get cought again and again. I can´t see him last the distance but if he fights tall and uses his size advantage he could beat Tito and take him out due to accumalation.
Abraham would be a total different fighter than the other three. He has a better chin and a much better defence than any of them. His flaw of a low workrate and only fighting in spurts wouldn´t hurt him much in there. Tito would come to him not beeing able to hurt him or even catch him flush. And Abraham has enough power to hurt him and is a good enough counterpuncher to hit Tito clean. I think Abraham takes him out in the middle rounds but Tito has a shot if he decides to box instead of stalk AA.

Prime B-Hop would beat all of the four without any problem. The current crop is only slightly better than then, the difference is that all of them are more spectacualr and bigger hitter.

Abraham has never tasted power like Tito had. Bum ass Miranda doesnt count.

The only thing Miranda has going for him is huge power, you can´t deny that. At mw only Abraham has more one-punch KO power than Miranda. At least it´s similar to Tito´s. He broke AA´s jaw two times - okay it was a lucky shot by catching Abraham when he had his mouth open - but wasn´t able to stop or even hurt him despite landing a good amount of punches. That should show you that Abraham has a good enough chin to take the shots of a mw Tito.

Miranda's right hand isnt nearly as deadly as Tito's hook was.

Abraham's gon have to show me more before I pick him over the pre-Hopkins Tito. As it stands right now, I'd pick the Trinidad that destroyed Joppy to do the same to Abraham.

Both his fights with Miranda, and his fight with Ikeke.

I admit he can punch. But Tito was more than a few levels above Miranda.

Yeah, Tito was a few levels above Miranda but it´s about styles. And there Abraham has an advantage over Tito. AA feasts on guys coming to him with a sloppy defence and who can get knocked out.

btw. all three fights you saw are bad examples. Ikeke was about 6' 3'' while Abraham is 5'9'' so Abraham couldnßt fight like he normally does, same with the first Miranda fight where he had to went 8 rounds with a broken jaw. And the second Miranda fight was something else. Foreign country, facing a man who broke his jaw. He fought similar to his normal style but even more defensive and lazy.
