Listen, I understand you're a little bit slow with grasping concepts, but if he can deny a ref that's chosen, he is INFLUENCING the process. Period. And that was what I said he would do.

I never said that... I said this fight will be even less intriguing because Maidana won't have a ref that will allow those tactics. Please keep up.

And several rights don't make a wrong. All of those things you mentioned, Mayweather is well within his rights to do. He is not within his rights to dictate who the ref is in his fights. Those are two separate issues.

First off, you have presented zero proof that he can deny a ref that's chosen in a Vegas fight. I know you're a little bit slow when it comes to jurisdictions, but different jurisdictions have different policies. Even if Mayweather had the authority to unilaterally deny a ref, then so would Maidana. Of course, in America, the ref is appointed by the state commission. Mayweather can complain all he wants about a ref, only the the commission has the authority to change the appointed ref in America.

Again, your comprehension skills are failing you. I didn't say Floyd wasn't within his rights to do it. I said that it makes this fight even less intriguing because he WILL do it. God damn, man. What type of pseudo conversation are you having, and who are you having it with?:lol::patsch:patsch

Why would he need to use controversy to sell this rematch?. Did he need controversy to sell his fights with Alvarez, Ortiz, Guerrero, Hatton, Cotto, Marquez...etc?

    I'm keeping up buddy.

Maidana won't have a ref that will allow those tactics.

Why don't you understand that what you're saying he will do, HE'S NOT ALLOWED TO DO. Mayweather is not allowed to unilaterally choose or deny the ref. The commission will appoint the ref of their choosing. Mayweather can object all he wants, nothing will change unless the commission says so. With that said, your objection makes little to no sense. The fact that you think a fight that takes place in Europe is subject to the same procedures as a fight in America, shows just how off base your are.

Links to proof that procedures are different in the US than they are in Europe? I'll wait. I bet if I looked further I'd find other examples of referees being rejected for fights.

So Floyd needs to let Maidana use gloves with less padding and a referee that lets him fight dirty, just to make the fight more intriguing. Got it!

    http://www.boxinginsider.com/column...plenty-of-room-for-neutrality-in-officiating/

“No person may arrange, promote, organize, produce, or fight in a professional boxing match unless all referees and judges participating in the match have been certified and approved by the boxing commission responsible for regulating the match in the State where the match is held.”

That's part of the Muhammed Ali act. The Muhammed Ali act is a U.S Federal act. Europe is not in America. Therefore, Europe is not subject to the act. As such, the commissions appoint the refs and judges in the U.S. In other places, other means are used to select the ref and judges. In the Froch/Groves fight, the officials were selected by The IBF.

Do you ever wonder why Vegas fights have the same handful of refs and judges in every fight? It's because the commissions in The U.S pick the officials from a pool of a handful that they appoint.

    :lol::lol:

Where does anything you just pasted indicate that a fighter or a figher's management isn't allowed to reject the choice of a referee for a fight?

"unless all referees and judges participating in the match have been certified and approved by the boxing commission"

Any ref or judge has to be approved by the commission. A fighter or a manager can object all they want, they have zero authority to approve a ref. Unless the act specifically stated the both fight camps would have to sign off on the officials, then the commission has no obligation to change the official based on a fighter's objection.

What you just wrote and what's quoted in what you posted are two completely separate things.

"Unless the act specifically stated the both fight camps would have to sign off on the officials, then the commission has no obligation to change the official based on a fighter's objection."

    Is nowhere implied within:

"unless all referees and judges participating in the match have been certified and approved by the boxing commission"

How do you not understand this? There are X amount of certified and approved referees already. One will be chosen for Floyd's fight. Nowhere does that imply he can't reject the choice of one of the chosen certified and approved refs.

You really think that's any different than the Froch/Groves situation?

Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying. Are you really going to try and tell me you think Maidana can outbox Floyd? Right, no one else thinks that, either.
