Over the last couple days there have been many threads about what Pavlik should do to regain his "old self"; what he should have done in the ring; and even long time Pavlik supporters giving Sergio Martinez "congratulation"!!! But to tell you the truth I believe what they want most now in their "boxing world" is for Paul Williams to fail!!!! They want Paul Williams to take a loss by the hands of Hermit Cintron!! The reason why I say this is because it seems as if there is some sort of infatuation with PW when it comes to Pavlik fans! Any success by PW will just make Pavlik fans go deeper in their shell(Hermit the crab)!!!:-verysad
kelly pavlik keeps making excuses on his losses. the guy technically is just not that good. he better get used to getting outboxed because it's going to happen to him a few more times yet. he's delusional.
williams' fans were preoccupied with the pavlik fight as well. they were hoping and praying for a loss and they got one. i'm a pavlik fan and i wish paul williams all the best. i hope he beats cintron and that if martinez gets past pavlik again, he wins the middleweight title. but yea i guess i'm also a paul williams fan. funny how that works out sometimes
I worte this in my thread about Kelly. I'm not the type to "pray" someone fails. When I'm in Church its the usual...you know...family health stuff, maybe even a small prayer that the Cubbies can actually go deep in the playoffs I hope ptp does well... and i've been accused a time or two of being a pav fan
Ironically, Mr Hu is far more obsessed with any failures by Kelly than any of Pavlik's fans are with PW or anyone else for that matter. Pathetic.
I think Pavlik will surprise people and come back to be a force in the middle or super middle division. I really think he felt the weight of the emerging support from his hometown and was doubly affected when they turned their back on him following the Hopkins loss and the postponements. The newspapers stories and gossip won't have helped either. With less pressure from outside he might just find that fire again. And as for him being a crap boxer, that is stupid. He wouldn't have gotten to heights he reached if he couldn't box. In my opinion it is a mindset issue due to external (fans, gossip, all the hopes of his hometown) and internal (the loss, the infections, postponements) pressures
