What percentage would you give Pac beating Canelo 154?

Pacquiao can easily outbox him, maybe not anymore, but couple of years ago (11/12 version) would outbox this canelo at 152

 

no way pac fights canelo at 154... he wouldnt even mention his name...

 

Exactly, it can be a Pac vs Margacheato again except Canelo doesn't really throw many punches so it can be easier for Pac to move

 

The fight could be made if Pac camp has the balls to make such a fight happen. Canelo could fight him at the same weight he fought Mayweather, 152lbs. I think it would be a great fight, considering Pac don't have Floyd defense and would take a lot of shots. Canelo would eat a lot to. If I was a betting man I would lean towards Canelo for the win. He's younger and stronger, plus he can box if he has to. Canelo is Floyd left overs and one guy we don't have to worry about Pac facing to try to prove he can beat him better then Floyd.

Canelo seems to have trouble with moving fighters, and Pac moves, a lot. He outboxes him anytime, the Pac that fought Cotto may even stop him via TKO. Canelo also wouldn't have the height advantage that Margo had.

 

I give Pac a 10% chance people will bring up the Mayweather fight as an example that Pac will win but Mayweather actually has defense while Pac leaves every fight win or lose swolen up, Alvarez isn't a brawler he's a boxer which has shown to be a problem for Pac and Alvarez is a good combination puncher, I think Alvarez probably beats him like Marquez but has a higher chance to get the stoppage the first time due to power.

I also feel the common opponent argument isn't valid in most cases when they've fought common opponent the guys were coming off losses, beatdowns, & ko's vs Pac and title fight win vs Mayweather even though the name is the same fighting a guy like Hoya (just an example) in the middle of his worst career slump isn't the same as fighting Hoya on a hot streak. Or a better example fighting Marquez after he jumps 2 weights compared to fighting Marquez after he's been at the weight for a while.

 

11/12 version? The one that got a gift in Marquez 3? Nope.

I say a 2009/2010 Pac does well against him. 11/12 he gets beaten to a pulp. too small.

The only reason FMJ can give up weight like that is because of his defense.

I've rarely seen Pac outbox anyone. He mostly just overwhelmed people. Not outboxed. Canelo is a better boxer than Pac.
