I boxed for a while from age 16 to 19. Got KO'd once, in my last fight.
I don't remember it. I remember arriving at the concert hall for the event, then sitting on a stool outside the ring with people asking me what year it is and if I knew where I was. I'm told it was the third, but I have no recollection of ever stepping into the ring.
It didn't hurt when I came to. I was taken to the emergency room as a precaution and did not have a concussion or anything. That's about all I can tell you.

I was a pretty accomplished amateur. I was never knocked out, so when I needed money for college I turned pro. Mind you this was just crappy regional fights against toughman level guys not accomplished guys.

One day I had an offer to fight a real accomplished pro and it was a lot of money for me $5,500 dollars, took care of my whole year of college tuition and books this was in the early 90's.

I lasted 2 rounds but the guy hit so hard it seemed almost superhuman. I was ****ed up pretty badly after the fight not in terms of cuts or swelling but my ears were ringing and my balance was messed up. I had blurry vision for about 2 days post fight and like I mentioned my thoughts were a little discombobulated.

I don't have a link. It was an old article. It might have been just scientific speculation than studies.

It was about Chuck Liddell, UFC Fighter, and how his punch-resistance has dropped since getting knocked out or something like that.

If you look at his most recent fights, he just has a string of KOs ever since getting brutally getting KOed. Of course, this might be a combination of him just getting caught to him being more susceptible but as mentioned earlier, there's nothing really concrete.

Brain trauma in general is a big question mark.

That's exactly what it is and it's a good idea for Paul take some time off from boxing to fully recover.

I got knocked out cold before. Immediately after I started speaking Spanish. I have been fluent ever since. I have become smarter stronger and can speak another language.
