The fight definitely pulled better numbers than the 1st fight. In my town the fight was shown in over 100 venues and they were all packed. The 1st fight was only shown in less than 50. I expect the fight did between 900k-1.1M buys.
whatever it reaches, remember floyd gets a cut of that too + merchandising, ticket sales, drink sales. Is, this what drives pac fans crazy!!
Yes hes making good money while killing the sport of boxing. I'm so happy for him. You guys are gay as hell.
jimmy cannon, this is the red light of sports!! Ever heard or read that quote? frankie carbo, blinky palermo, mafia men, arum & king 2 criminally convicted bribers & 2 time killer, and floyd is the problem here!! GTFO, THIS SPORT, HAS NO PENSION LIKE , HOCKEY, FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL RIGHT!!
Mayweather is boring and a cherry picker serves him right for his numbers falling faster than the speed of light
This is the reason why he goes to great lengths to avoid risky fights and protect that zero. He uses it as a marketing tool along with deceiving fight fans that he would give them a great show. Once his zero disappers, his ppv buys will dip even more.
even if it did 800k, 800k x $80 = $64millon + gate receipts of circa $15million. the events already worth nearly $80million, that's before foreign TV money, advertising, think Radio have to pay money to broadcast it too, not bad for a poor undercard and (for Floyd) a relatively unhyped fight. Be interesting to see the numbers for PAC algeiri in comparison
Radio??? When was the last time a fight was on the AM dial? Take out 50 % right away that goes directly to Comcast, Direct TV, Dish Network, etc. The consider the money they spend on "Fake Access", promotional tours, and other costs related to marketing the fight. To answer the original question, the max this fight did was 925k. Good for a normal fighter but subpar for a guy getting $30 million + guaranteed.
