dude, i'm 100% with you. that's what made it so hard for me. the way cotto was easily outboxing margarito for the first 6 rounds. i couldnt believe how easy he made it look.

for weeks and months i had been saying, it's not always the bigger/stronger man who wins. it is usually the smarter fighter. for the first half of the fightt, Cotto could nearly do no wrong besides sitting on the ropes taking unnecessary punishment.

it was just tough to see a man with such little skill as margarito beat someone as skilled and gifted as cotto by simply having more stamina.

Yes Felt a little bad for Cotto. Maybe about two days. But this is boxing and he got well paid. Margarito is a gentleman. He lost and came back. Not reason for Cotto not to do it.

    Guys and gals,

This is a prime example of why I made this thread. Cotto was easily outboxing Margarito? He was hitting and running like DLH vs Tito yet in Cotto's case he was EASILY winning the fight. Righhht :patsch I guess Cotto is king of the six rounders.

Cotto the smarter fighter? Another Cotto fan with his head up his arse. If he was so smart, why sit on the ropes and take unncessary punishment? Can you say biased? :-(

Last but not least. The last paragraph is an idiotic statement. Let me fix it. "It was thrilling to see a man (Margarito) with heart, determination, skills, toughness, and STAMINA overcome a frontrunning, no heart boxer (Cotto) with little stamina.

    Viva Mexico!!!!!!!!!!!:freddy

You may not be convinced, but you weren't in there getting your ass handed to you in front of family and friends. Cotto was so convinced he quit. :hey

    **** you and this thread.
Cotto will be back from this and has nothing to be ashamed of here, he just lost fair and square and will get his revenge soon.

Cotto might be back. He has nothing tp be ashmed of, true, if he is okay with quitting. Hell even Chavez quit, sure it was past his prime against the P4P#1 guy at the time, but hell, he quit. And no, Cotto's chances at beating <argarito seem very slim. Cotto fought the best he could have and still was used to mop the floor.

Chavez is a piece of garbage, he was using the intentional headbutt tactic in the rematch with Randall yet was getting schooled and beaten from pillar to post till HE used his head intentionally and was hurt from it then said he doesn't want to continue. THAT'S QUITTING.

Cotto didn't quit, he was beaten on till he had NOTHING left, the man looked totally damaged when the fight was over with, if you looked at him you won't even recognize him. He could've easily said he doesn't want to continue when his nose was severely injured in the fight and far earlier but no he kept going till he was totally broken down and had 0 left to fire back with unless the clowns and gays on this forum wanted him to fight with both hands down. The man could barely keep his hands up at the time before the first knockdown.

It's plain and simple...Margarito is a machine and Cotto is just a man. Cotto has the cojones and talent to come back strong and beat many more good fighters, but he needs to stay away from Margarito from now on or else his career will be significantly shortened.

Cotto QUIT because he has no heart. Emmanuel Steward saw it, Max Kellerman saw it, and thousands of others. If you pull your head out of your ass once in a while and come up for air, you might see it too. Cotto should visit The Wizard of Oz and ask for a pair of balls since Margarito took his heart in that fight.
