So, a total of 16 fighters would be top 10 today?

And in the process they would displace every current heavy (AJ, DW, TF) and rescind the laws of mathematics?

I merely made a list of big guys that would be championship material today and a list of big guys that would be good enough to make it to the top 10 today.

Define "athlete" and "athleticism", as you're using those words. Most people use them to describe physical abilities, like strength, stamina, and flexibility, which Carnera did have.

    Bernard Hopkins anyone?

    I only said “could”.

Primo was rated as early as 1929 but the title could have passed to any other giant rated between Willard’s reign and Carneras. There certainly was enough of them in the ratings.

You put those big gloves, training advances and shorter championship rounds into the 1920s and the Superheavyweights might have ruled from then on.

What makes you think the human race developed a new species of larger men in the 1990s that differs from all those that came before? Have you got DNA results that proves there is new mutations that eliminates the Oaf gene in modern Big men proving them different to giants that came before?

Isn’t it more fantastical that somebody like you can cling to such a strange theory like that?

Terrell fought in a strange boxing era, after Liston crushed Patterson & then the 2 Ali questionable fights, ....as far as media coverage. A big fight like Terrell vs Cleveland Williams might be reported in the newspapers as:
    (Phila) 4/13/63
Ernie Terrell outpointed #4 ranked Cleveland Williams by UD
over 10 rds at the Arena in Phila. PA.
