I went to the Friday Night Fights on March 4th, managed to capture a few clips. Watched Freddie Norwood potentially go back into retirement after losing the title match. The best fight of the night was definitely Ismayl Sillakh vs. Yordanis Despaigne I uploaded a clip as I caught one of his unusual punch techniques at a great angle around 00:18 seconds. What kind of punch is that? I fail to know the proper term to call it. It looks like just a delayed right straight to me. Yea, that one Sillakh missed I thought but he hit him at least twice with that throughout the fight. Sillakh started showboating though and just did some Ali dancing and still connected with Despaigne's face. Despaigne tried to use something that looked like a knockout hook like Tyson's but it missed. It was a great fight. It was televised on ESPN2 so you can probably catch the replay of it.
All it is is a straight right, in a sort of up word projection, with a little windmill on it for show. I'd say a bolo is a shorter blow than this, but thats just schematics.
^Yup. Basically feinting a big flashy windup bolo punch, and just firing a straight right down the middle. Get the guy expecting something crazy and then catch him off guard with a regular right hand.
